It’s finally here! 🎉 Flood 50 officially begins this week at the Carousel Kick Off event!

Come visit our booth at the Porter Park Pavilion on Friday, May 29 from 4:00–8:00 PM as the community gathers to celebrate the start of summer and the upcoming Flood 50 commemoration.

You’ll be able to learn more about the exciting events planned for June 1–6, and enjoy a special tradition, the crowning of the Flood Mud Queen 👑

This beloved tradition has been carried on for decades by local residents Pat Hepworth and Gwyn Harris, whose neighborhoods came together in the aftermath of the flood. Come meet this year’s queen, flood survivor Verla Archibald, along with her royal court, Anna Bjornn and Jacki Sare.

We’re also excited to welcome Raymonda Furness, retired food editor for the Rexburg Standard Journal, as she interviews the royal court and shares stories and memories from their flood experiences.

For 50 years, this community has carried forward a legacy of service, kindness, and love. What began in the aftermath of the Teton Dam Flood continues today through neighbors helping neighbors, small acts of kindness, and people choosing to show up for one another.

And because of YOU, Idaho reached 250,000 acts of kindness.

Thank you for remembering with us. Thank you for serving with us. Most of all, thank you for continuing the legacy that rebuilt our community. ❤️

Remember. Connect. Serve.
