After a brief but meaningful private meeting with GP Kelly and GST Lima, I’m proud to stand with both leaders of the IAFF and thank them for their continued support.

Nearly ten years ago, I made a phone call to GST Lima about the dangers of cell towers being placed on fire stations. He was between flights at the time and told me, “Kevin, I’ll call you tomorrow morning at 6:45 Eastern time and we’ll talk.” Sure enough, at exactly 6:45 the next morning, my phone rang.

Not only did his experience and guidance lead to that tower being removed, but I also gained a great friend. Since that day, GST Lima has always been just a phone call away—and he’s always answered.

I was truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support the other night.
Family, friends, and Locals from across the state came out—and it meant everything to me.

We’re just days away from Election Day in Worcester, and what a journey this has been. Running for office and connecting with Locals across Massachusetts has been an experience like no other. I’ve learned so much, gained invaluable insight, and grew from every conversation.

As I’ve said from the beginning: experience matters.
Being a Local leader matters—because it all starts at home.

I’ve spoken with three districts so far, and I can feel the momentum building. The message is getting out there. I’m a little old school—I believe in earning your keep, gaining experience, and learning before moving up. Leadership starts at home. If you’ve never truly led your own local through battles and tough fights, how can you lead within the PFFM?

Consistent support from your own local means you’ve done the job right. Saying “yea” or “nay” is easy—it’s speaking up when it counts that defines leadership. Experience matters. Vote for someone who represents you, not just their own personal interests.
