The Rescue Volunteer Fire Association (RVFA) is hosting National Night Out (NNO) at the Rescue Fire Department, 5221 Deer Valley Rd & Green Valley Rd in Rescue on Tuesday, August 4 from 5pm to 9pm. We have done this every year since 2016 (except for 2020).
Even though we are a fundraising organization for meeting the needs of the Rescue Fire Department, this is a community event where new and old Rescue residents can gather and socialize. We will have assets from the Sheriff's Department, Sierra Wildlife Rescue, blacksmithing from Ernie G and other community groups. We will have live music! We will be serving hot dog dinners with corn, watermelon, chips and water for only $5! And root beer floats! We will have a huge inflatable slip-n-slide for kids of all ages to stay cool, wet and have fun with, so bring your bathing suits and towels!
Marc and Krista have taken over our merchandise offerings and they are knocking it out of the park. We've always had T-shirts, aprons, mugs and license plate frames, but they have expanded into caps, kid's t-shirts and sweatshirts. Something for everyone! Want to know more about Rescue to take home with you? We will be selling "History of a Place Called RESCUE" for $50. Rich with photos and stories written by Bill Teie and Francis "Carp" Carpenter. It is a wonderfully comprehensive history written by life long residents. If you live in Rescue or just love Rescue, this MUST be on your bookshelf.
If you have any questions, call Curtis or Lyle at 530-677-1125. See you on August 4th!
