A little Scout lore was found by Boy Scout Troop 700 - Rescue, CA Eagle Scout, Alec, on his holiday travels. Sweetwater founder, Chuck Surak, based many founding principles of the company on the Scout Law. It's now the largest music store in the country and second largest in the world.

Several Boy Scout Troop 700 - Rescue, CA members participated in yesterday's Veteran's Day ceremony in Placerville. The weather caused a change of plans but the Scouts were honored to still assist in all manners needed.

Yesterday current and alumni Scouts were honored to be asked by Lakeview Elementary administration and staff to be their color guard for their Veterans Day ceremony. Thank you Isaiah, Lucas, Gabe, Matthew, and Alec for representing Boy Scout Troop 700 - Rescue, CA.

Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day

As we approach Veterans Day on Monday, we take a moment to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who served in our nation's military. We're proud to spotlight a touching tribute from 2023 El Dorado High School graduate Matthew Woodin. For his Eagle Scout project, Matthew designed and created a beautiful memorial dedicated to El Dorado County Service Members who lost their lives in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the War on Terrorism.

Join us in reflecting on the selflessness of our veterans and the legacy they leave behind. We are grateful for their service and for the inspiring contributions of students like Matthew, who help us remember and honor our local heroes.

Reminder Troop 700 has a Court of Honor this Wednesday. Come and support our Scouts by recognizing their efforts in attaining merit badges and rank advancements. In addition the Committee Election will be held so attendance by all parents and guardians of members is highly encouraged.

Throwback Thursday to the October outting. Definitely a favoite amongst the Scouts. A ferry trip there and back while overnighting at Angel Island State Park.
