We are currently a bit behind on messages and contact as we finish up some adoptions, handle some paperwork and work around the rescue, and take care of two senior dogs with medical concerns 🥰

This last weekend we were blessed to oversee a very amazing adoption — Reba, one of our sweet older Shepherds, found her forever home with a particularly wonderful and kind gentleman in Portland. 💜 Reba was originally found as a highly pregnant stray and dragged cruelly into the shelter, birthing stillborn puppies from stress as she was dragged. Now, she lounges on beautiful comfortable dog beds.
Our hearts are so full. 😍

We have one more amazing adoption we did to brag about, and we are hoping to have another 4 coming up soon as well, so stay tuned!

Remember - we bring all our dogs to their adoptive homes personally, throughout the PNW, Idaho, and California with some prior scheduling 🥰 this allows us to lovingly help transition them to their new home by stepping into the new environment for the first time with them, as well as offering customized training recommendations for each pup and home. 💜 This also allows us the chance to say goodbye to a sweet life that we’ve loved deeply.
We can generally coordinate 2 weekend adoption transport trips monthly, so please don’t let distance keep you from finding out more about a dog that may just end up being your heart dog 🥰

Today was an amazing and heartwarming day as we saw Athena & Venus off into their wonderful new home at a beautifully terraced and fenced paradise on 7 acres!
They did wonderfully with the small dogs and resident big dog that they met, although the big guy did let them know what he considered respectful boundaries to be, with appropriate doggy communication. 💖

We are so incredibly happy for the girls finding such a wonderful home with so many incredible plans coming up in the future… but also, to have made such a fun and creative new friend! We look forward to all the future updates and get-togethers!

These girls found a wonderful home, but in the next few months we do need rescue help or foster assistance in WA/OR/CA for a male and female Pyrenees who are working on behavior. Both dogs are quite shy - they were finally caught as very sick, emaciated strays after running loose for months, and never claimed. The female just shies from touch and is uncertain and slow to warm up, the male is more defensively fearful and maintains his distance barking. These two are with a temporary caregiver who unfortunately cannot give them the time needed for full confidence building. Please send us a message if you’d be interested in helping one or both.

VOLUNTEER SEARCH!! Republic/Ferry County

We are looking to meet some amazing volunteers who want to make a big difference in the lives of rescue dogs waiting for adoption!

We would love on-site volunteers who are able to come for as long as they like, and assist with various responsibilities such as kennel cleaning, feeding, brushing dogs (and maybe even bathing if you want!), socializing/treating dogs, going on walks & hikes, or just sitting and snuggling with their favorite dogs - it ALL helps!
We would also love to talk to local people who might be interested in borrowing a rescue doggy for an adventure day out 💜

Our current available days for on-site volunteering are Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!

We are located just outside of Republic, near Torboy 💜

We could REALLY use fosters or adopters for some of these amazing dogs! They’ve been in rescue for a while and have been passed over time and again, and as we navigate some current challenges, we’d really like to get a few of these sweethearts into homes with all the attention they desire & deserve!

Each dog has their information under their picture caption, and please feel free to reach out with any additional questions or to fill out an application and set up a meet and greet!

We provide food and a crate if needed to fosters during the duration of the foster period 💜

We are in Eastern Washington but will provide transport to foster or adoptive homes throughout Washington as well as Oregon, Idaho, and California with some prior scheduling.

Adventure buddy alert!! 💕💕💕💕

Two of our amazing team members took ABBY out for a fishing day trip yesterday, and they all had a blast! (A HUGE thank you to our awesome team!!)
Abby was initially a little shy in the new situation, which meant she focused on her people for their feedback on how to act and what to do. 💜 This means that rather than pulling, trying to run off, or demanding focus to try to calm and direct her behavior, she stayed with her human friends, asked for and paid attention to their input, and allowed her friends to enjoy their trip! And when a dog is a pleasure to have out rather than an excited whirlwind demanding management, that means the dog and family both benefit greatly by being able to experience outings and camping trips together more frequently!

Once Abby gained more confidence, she played and frolicked and made new friends!! She met some new people, and their dog, who she was good natured and well-behaved with. Again, such behavior is AMAZING to see, because it can be a concern on outings on if a dog will respond well to new dogs approaching - and Abby does!

She even played in the water, just a little 💜
She has been tested around a good number of kids ranging around 6 years and up, and is gentle and sweet and loving. She has been unfazed about dirt bikes being ridden within eyesight. Unlike many other Shepherds, Abby stays with you/slightly circles you while on a walk rather than turning it into an excited and unplanned jog.

Abby is between 2-3 years old, fully vetted, and ready for a wonderful adoptive home or foster. She is located in Republic, WA but our rescue does coordinate transporting our dogs to their new homes in WA, northwestern ID, and parts of Oregon 💜 Abby’s adoption fee is $180, which helps up recoup some of her veterinary costs to continue providing food and vet care to other dogs in need 💕

Isn’t Tikka just the prettiest?
This sassy, fun, red-head is looking for her best bud and partner in crime. She promises there will never be a dull day, and to answer all phone calls from grandma (or in-laws! 😂)

Tikka is about 5 years old, spayed and fully vetted. She has done well paired with other dogs her size who have no problem letting her run the show 💕 she has been friendly with children, but probably not the best with cats - the local stray/barn cat’s presence beyond the fence upsets her greatly. Tikka LOVES walks (like, loves, like a Husky) but thinks baths should be optional at best.

Tikka has not been tested on recall in fully unfenced areas, so we would prefer a home with a fenced yard, ideally 6 ft or more.

Her adoption fee is $150, and helps reimburse veterinary costs for future adoptable dogs’ adoption-readiness-vetting 💜

Tikka is in Republic, WA but is up for roadtrips! She can be adopted or fostered throughout Washington and western Idaho 💕 (we are open to coordinating with very Husky-savvy adopters in further distances like Oregon or more of Idaho). Our rescue provides personal transport of dogs to their adoptive or foster homes 💜

CHUNK is neutered and fully vetted, and now fully ready for adoption!!!

He is ✅ dog-friendly ✅ child-friendly ✅ cat-friendly!

This handsome boy just turned 1 year on March 5th! His mom is a beautiful little purebred Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog). We wonder if his dad might have had some Border Collie in him, based on his elegant lengthy body and being bigger than his 35-lb mother (Chunk is probably 40 pounds?)

Chunk is 🌀 crate-trained 🌀house-trained 🌀dog door trained
He is well behaved in the house, but is still a curious puppy, so benefits from supervision and guidance initially. He responds WONDERFULLY to “Leave It”, knows Sit and Come, and is treat-motivated and eager and willing to learn 💜 He also walks very well on leash!
Chunk can be a little shy in new places and meeting new people, but looks heavily to his people for praise and reinforcement and to become more confident with the new thing (he is used to our rural property, but does well with his recent outings to our local park).

Chunk’s adoption fee is $250, which helps reimburse some of his veterinary work for a future rescue dog’s vetting❣️

Chunk is located in Republic, WA but we will personally transport him to adopters or fosters throughout Washington and western Idaho 🩵
