With a focus on basic human needs and community enrichment, the following grants have been awarded. We are honored to have such talent and treasure within our community!
Community Kitchen of Republic - $7,000 (New Industrial Dishwasher)
- The Kitchen serves hot meals to seniors, kids, and hungry folks until the last person is fed on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. Fifty to sixty volunteers operate a safety inspected kitchen on a minimal budget and have fed over 68,000 meals since their founding in 2012.
Triston's Hope Foundation - $4,850 (Increasing Operating Costs)
- Jason Shaw is turning an uncomfortable topic into a fulltime outreach. The su***de and mental health crisis is a unique need in our community. Triston's hope works to teach life skills while build community among students and parents that face the challenges of this crisis. Weekly meetings provide our student population with a safe place to seek council, build community, and even have a provided meal.
Tiger Theater Booster Club - $2,000 (Technical Equipment)
- The Tiger Theater acts as the local community theater for The City of Republic. The students host several productions annually, entertaining everyone from paying theater goers to elementary schools classrooms. As many as 150 individual students are involved hosting one production.
