Recap of some major contributions during the 2021 - 2022
Prior to many of this school year’s preparations, additional health and safety measures were examined more closely by a local elementary school administrator. It became evident to our foundation local school children were in need of a more cost effective and safer way of hydrating. The surrounding community was asked for help with suggestions and affordable solutions. The foundation’s leadership having relocated to the local neighborhood of the school and asked to help support this particular need. A sixteen ounce pull top drinking bottle bearing the school logo and colors was found as a refillable single person use solution for each student and faculty member. Presentation was made of a sufficient number of the sport bottles to the administrator before the school faculty returned for the opening day of classes for distribution.
The Heart of Virginia Council (HOVC) Scout Council was presented with funds to assist in covering the cost of Eagle Scout presentation kits for the 2021 - 2022 program year. The donation has been an annual contribution to the council’s Friends of Scouting program to assist in costs of those scouts achieving this prestigious award.
