Annnnd that's a wrap on our 2026 Summer Camp Season! ♥️

Thank you to all the incredible families who filled our farm with laughter, our counselors who brought their "A Game" for our campers- and to all our supporters and donors who made our Send a Kid to Camp scholarship program such a huge success! We can't wait to see you next year!!

Just because summer camp is over doesn't mean we don't want to see you! We have our Little Boots Reading Hour, Goat Yoga- and stay tuned for info on our Halloween Spooktacular!

It's connection. It's community. We can't thank you enough for being a part of the journey. 🌱

We promise, SAS is the right place. ✨
Come visit us and our mini donkey herd! These little guys may be small in size, but they have BIG personalities—and they’ve definitely stolen our hearts.

💡 Fun fact: Miniature donkeys are incredibly social animals and often form strong bonds with their humans and other donkeys. They’re happiest when they have a buddy (or two!) by their side! ❤️

Who could resist those sweet faces? Not us- and they know it! 🤣✨

Apparently the BarnYard Crew has entered their Kinda Chic era.

68+ rescued animals.
14 very different interpretations of “chic.”

Some are giving chaos.
Some are giving backyard velociraptor.
Some are just giving… Oscar.

Either way, the confidence is unmatched.

Kinda chic. Definitely SAS.

Our mini goat herd has had a busy few days-Wednesday evening yoga (a full class!) to our first "Little Boots Reading Hour" and tour this morning- they are truly living their best lives.

Our herd is very social and curious- they love people (and treats obviously!). We give them all the space and different activities to be exactly who they are-and if they don't feel like participating, they are not forced to and can opt out and have some quality "me time". Or, if you're McQueen, you can just choose a mat and take a nap for the entire class. 🤣♥️

Pretty much, best herd ever. Thank you for loving them as much as we do!

Happy Friday! We never thought we'd be creating a reel about 💩🤣

We have a beautiful mountain of compost ready to go!! Our tractor team has been working hard to turn our Barnyard Crews waste into the best thing that has ever happened to your garden (trust us we hear it all the time)!

The details:

🫜Pick up during Sanctuary business hours. Just head to the front of the barn and someone at Guest Services will guide you.
🫜Please bring your own containers and shovel. We will open the gate for you!
🫜If you would like to take a truck load- please email or DM us so we can align your schedule with our tractor operator's.
🫜Please donate! Although there is no set price- our compost is amazing and takes a lot of work. We appreciate every donation we receive (it's how we do what we do!!)
🫜Don't forget to leave some time to say hi to those who make this all possible (our rescued animals!).

See you soon PNW gardeners (and plant parents!)! 🌱🪴🌼

Hamilton has begun getting injections for his arthritis and is totally ok with it... and it didn't happen just because he's "a good pig" (but he's obviously a very good piggo!). 🐽🐷

It happened because of trust.

Positive reinforcement training isn't just about teaching tricks. It's about building a relationship through patience, consistency, favorite snacks, scratches behind the ears, and quality time.

When animals trust the people caring for them, routine veterinary care becomes far less stressful—for everyone involved.

Hamilton may not love getting injections, but he knows we'll listen, go at his pace, and always have his best interests at heart.

That's the goal of cooperative care: less fear, less force, and more trust. We are so lucky to have Barn Managers who take their time, make a plan, and get the buy in! ♥️
