What happens when community, opportunity, and purpose meet?

It was such an unexpected yet humbling surprise to hear that Taina Mair had selected Cierra Sisters to be a recipient of the Seattle Storm Kicks4Equality grant. We also had the opportunity to table at the game this past Sunday bringing our mission out into the community once again. 💕🏀

We connected with women (and men) from all races and backgrounds! Ran into a handful of survivors and TWO women getting ready to get their mammograms 🥹 We shared breast health education, resources, and the mission of Cierra Sisters while building new relationships and enjoying some Storm basketball!

We’re grateful for every opportunity to show up, share our story, and expand awareness around the importance of breast health for black women and the medically underserved.

Thank you Taina & The Seattle Storm, it was a pleasure! 💕

We hike. We heal. We honor. 💗

Every step was a reminder that healing happens in community. Thank you to everyone who showed up last week, walked with us, and made space for connection, wellness, and hope.

And special thank you to the Outdoor Equity Coalition team who partnered with us and made the day special. It was a beautiful day for a hike. A beautiful day for connection.
