Justine, in the center, is a deaf student sponsored by one of our parishioners. Father Martin is on her left and her adoptive mother on the her right. Justine was found about 5 years ago, alone and begging for food. She now attends St. Mark’s School for the Deaf in Masaka, where she is learning language via sign language!

Mission Update: Appreciation to the Knights of Columbus and donating parishioners
Father Martin Kibiriage requested help recently in procuring transportation that would allow him to minister more effectively to his parishioners of a geographically large parish through the acquisition of a motorcycle. He requested $1670 in help from us, but he sold the family cow in order to cover 20% of the cost. Because of the generosity of this parish, he not only was able to purchase the motorcycle, he was also able to replace the cow that supports his aging grandmother, nieces and nephews.

He writes, " The joy deep seated in my heart and peace of mind l have is actually beyond explanation. I greatly appreciate all the people of good will in St. Stephen Parish who donated to this noble cause. I dearly thank you people of God endlessly. You have made my ministry much simpler. May you too greatly benefit from the graces the flow from the sacraments l administer every now and then. Blessings always!"
