"You're fired."

Sometimes the best thing you can do for something you love is get out of the way.

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to build RiverTown while wearing too many hats. The ideas were there, the heart was there… the consistent ex*****on wasn’t. So I’m stepping back from the day-to-day manager role and bringing in a general manager who can give it the full attention it needs.

The goal stays the same: regular open hours, reliable programming, and a place the community can actually count on. I’m still all in — just in a different seat.

Grateful for the honesty that got us here, and open to ideas on who might be the right person to help take Rivertown forward. ❤️

🧟 2 WEEKS 🧟

There it is.

We told you October at RiverTown was going to feel a little different after dark...

ZombieHunt is coming!

We're building a glow-in-the-dark, outdoor adventure! Think GellyBall Blasters at the ready, masks down, jump scares loading!

During the day, RiverTown Fall Fest will be all about pumpkins, food, photos, families and everything we love about fall.

Then the sun goes down. 🌙

And the zombies come out. 🧟‍♂️

Grab your crew. Grab your gear. And see if you can make it through.

🎃 3 WEEKS 🍂

Okay... we probably haven't been very subtle about the pumpkins. 😂

But this isn't just going to be a pile of pumpkins sitting outside RiverTown.

We’re building a Fall Fest experience — a place to bring the kids, grab some food, take the obligatory fall pictures, pick out the perfect pumpkin, and spend some time together.

And as the sun starts going down?

Well... October at RiverTown is going to feel a little different after dark. 👀🧟

3 weeks to go.

🚨 THIS WEEKEND! 🚨

RiverTown is taking over a little piece of Little Cousin Jasper September 11–13!

We're bringing:

EDIT - We're thankful for Party Town stepping in to support! They will be offering Mini-Golf this year at LCJ. We are stepping back. More info coming soon 😀

And our friends from Trampolines Rikizz are setting up with us and bringing:

🐂 THE MECHANICAL BULL

And depending on whether we can pull everything together in time...

🪓 We might have one more surprise waiting for you. 👀

Come find us, play for a while, challenge your friends, and then go enjoy everything else Little Cousin Jasper has to offer.

And while you're there, you might want to pay attention to what we're working on at RiverTown...

🎃 October is going to be fun.

🚚 4 WEEKS 🍂

You can’t have a Fall Fest without something good to eat.

When RiverTown Fall Fest opens the first weekend of October, we’re inviting some of our favorite local food trucks to join us throughout the month.

Grab dinner. Find something sweet. Pick out a pumpkin. Hang around for the evening.

Because we don’t want this to feel like an event you rush through — we want RiverTown to become a place you come hang out on an October weekend.

🍂 And we're still not telling you everything...

4 weeks to go.

Next week, we reveal another piece. 👀

🐂 SO... WHO'S RIDING THE BULL? 🤠

Our friends from Trampolines Rikizz are bringing a MECHANICAL BULL to Little Cousin Jasper, and they're setting up with RiverTown for the weekend!

And while you're there...

🔫 Challenge somebody to GellyBall
⛳ Play a round of Mini-Golf
🐂 See how long you can survive the Mechanical Bull

And we're trying to sneak one more activity into the lineup. 🪓👀

This could get interesting.

🎃 5 WEEKS 🎃

Something new is growing at RiverTown this fall...

We’re getting ready to transform part of RiverTown into an October experience filled with pumpkins, fall fun, great food, and a few surprises we’re keeping under wraps for now. 👀

And yes... there will be pumpkins. Lots of pumpkins.🎃

Our first-ever RiverTown Fall Fest launches the first weekend of October, and over the next five weeks, we’re going to reveal a little more of what we have planned.

For now, start the countdown.

5 weeks to go. 🍂

Who’s ready for fall at RiverTown?

🎯 RiverTown is headed to Little Cousin Jasper!

September 11–13, we’re packing up some RiverTown favorites and bringing the fun downtown for one of our favorite weekends of the year.

🔫 GellyBall
⛳ Mini-Golf
👀 And maybe one more RiverTown activity we're working on...

PLUS — our friends from Trampolines Rikizz are joining the fun with a MECHANICAL BULL! 🐂🤠

So yes. We're going to need to know which one of your friends thinks they can stay on the longest. 😂

Three days. Downtown Rensselaer. A whole lot of RiverTown fun.

We’re planning ahead for RiverTown’s reopening in October, and this is a survey—not a sales announcement just yet! 🍪

We’re considering offering a limited Sunday Quiet Play menu featuring creations like this warm, chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter & jelly sandwich.

If we offered these on Sundays, would you purchase one for:

🍪 Yourself
🥜 Your kiddos
🍓 Both
🚫 Probably not

There’s one important piece we’re weighing: if we begin preparing and serving food when we reopen, Pumpkin the Cat will likely need our community’s help finding a loving new home.

Please share your honest answer below. Your feedback will help us decide whether adding food is something RiverTown families genuinely want—and whether that change is worth making.
