Today was a great day for youth leadership in action.

Our students had the opportunity to visit BASF Agricultural Solutions in Rensselaer and support a group of Pre-K students throughout the day. Each student was paired with younger students and helped guide them through a scavenger hunt, hands-on activities, and the full field trip experience.

They showed patience, responsibility, communication, and care while helping the younger students learn, participate, and have fun.

This is what we love to see: older students stepping up, younger students being supported, and community partners helping create positive experiences for our youth.

Thank you to the BASF team for welcoming the students and creating such a meaningful day.

Shoutout to the Pre-K teachers and staff as well as Fran Pilato for making the day full of fun. 💙

Summer in Rensselaer just hits a little different. ⛱️💙☀️

Long days, time outside, seeing familiar faces, and finding your way without even trying too hard. If you grew up here, you know the feeling.

This year, we’re bringing that same energy back with a little more intention.

Our Summer 2026 Youth Program is built to give young people a place to be, something to be a part of, and real opportunities along the way. Trips across the Capital Region, time in the parks, new experiences, and the kind of moments that stick with you.

For parents, it’s a space you can trust.
For students, it’s a summer you’ll remember.

We’re looking forward to seeing the city come alive again, just like it always does this time of year.

Enrichment program applications will be dropping soon, with more updates to follow.

This morning we spent time at the BASF Environmental Education Classroom & Wildlife Habitat.

7th graders from the Rensselaer City School District accompanied and guided 1st graders as they traversed the wilderness within this area! 🌳🐝🦆

It was amazing to see young people enjoying nature and mentorship in real time!

We are looking forward to doing more here.💙
