Help Us Keep Our 37 Rescue Dogs Cool This Summer!
Over the past three years, we’ve makeshifted more than 19 pools using tarps, plastic tubs, sandbox pools, and baby pools. Our dogs have destroyed almost all of them. We’re now down to just one that hasn’t been chewed, bitten, or ruined.
With the recent arrival of two abandoned puppies, Huck Finn and Felix, we are currently caring for 37 rescue dogs. In North Macedonia, afternoon summer temperatures regularly reach 113°F (45°C) for 5–6 hours at a time.
The dogs desperately need safe places to cool off.
Four good-quality stock tanks with pumps would solve this problem for years to come.
Unfortunately, we cannot find affordable options locally. Custom-made tanks here are extremely expensive (stainless steel only), costing as much as four tanks from a U.S. farm store for just one.
We need your help.
A few quick questions:
1. Dogs shouldn’t be ingesting plastic — are there any safe, durable alternatives?
2. Do you know of any suppliers in Greece or Skopje that sell pre-made galvanized stock tanks at a reasonable price?
3. Any other ideas for large, durable water containers that are easy to drain and refill?
4. Are there any old bathtubs available for donation?

Every dollar helps us keep these dogs safe and comfortable through the brutal Macedonian summers. Thank you for caring.
