Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop

Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop Our mission is to enhance officer safety by helping fulfill safety equipment and training needs for law enforcement and first responders in Lamar County.
(1)

The pre-planned attacks on Dallas and Baton Rouge police in 2016 showed us the lack of adequate armor available to our patrol officers who are always the first to arrive on an active shooter scene. The Adopt-A-Cop program was started by Brandi Leber of Hopkins County, TX, to bring communities together to adopt officers and provide them with rapid deployment armor that can save thei

r lives. Our vision is to become one of the leading supplemental sources for the protection, training and education of law enforcement officers while building a unifying presence through fundraising, safety and protective equipment donations, and advocacy. For more information, contact us at (903) 905-1229 or email us at [email protected] Donations can be made through our website at www.lamarcountyadoptacop.org or at Lamar National Bank in Paris, Tx. We are a 501c3 corporation: 81-3401672. This page has been created as a positive place to show support for our police and first responders. In keeping a positive experience for our followers, we reserve the right to take down photos, comments and other material deemed unproductive or harassing.

💜 We are getting closer to Gungo for Baby Harper, and the support from our community has been absolutely incredible!

Baby Harper is courageously battling serious medical challenges, and her family is facing a journey no family should have to endure. On June 13th, our community will come together to help ease some of that burden and remind them they are surrounded by love and support.

Join us at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds for a day of fun, fellowship, and fundraising.

Mariah Harvey has been putting together a HUGE silent auction for the event, and over the coming days we'll be posting many of the amazing items available for bidding. You won't want to miss these incredible donations from our generous supporters!

Don't miss out on:
🎟 GunGo games and incredible prizes from Texas2A
🍔 Burger plates for $10 (includes a burger, chips, drink, and dessert)

🕊️JOSHUA BOYKIN 🕊️
TMPA joins the Dallas Police Association FOP 716, the Dallas Police Department, and the entire Texas law enforcement community in mourning the passing of Dallas Police Sergeant Joshua Boykin.

Sergeant Boykin succumbed to injuries sustained in a small plane crash near Forney on May 16, 2026, while returning from a personal trip with two fellow officers. The other officers survived and continue to recover.

Please keep Sergeant Boykin’s family, loved ones, fellow officers, and the injured officers in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop is honored to announce a new partnership with Uplift for Life dedicated to supporting first responder families, as well as individuals and families throughout our community who are facing life-threatening illnesses, catastrophic medical conditions, or serious health-related hardships.

As our organization continues to grow and evolve, so does our mission. While we remain committed to supporting the safety and wellness of our first responders, we also recognize the importance of bringing first responders together to stand beside families during life’s most difficult moments.

This partnership also helps bridge a gap that often exists within first responder support systems. While assistance is often available for line-of-duty injuries and deaths, there are very limited resources for off-duty illnesses, catastrophic medical conditions, or hardships affecting first responders and their family members. We want families to know they are not alone during these difficult times.

Proceeds from this partnership will help ease the emotional, physical, and financial burdens that often accompany long-term illness and end-of-life care.

Thank you to our community for continuing to support Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop and helping us make a difference, one family at a time. ❤️

Uplift for Life is bringing our community together to turn compassion into action. This special fundraiser supports local families facing life-threatening illnesses while offering hope, encouragement, and financial assistance during difficult times.

Participants are invited to decorate bras in honor or memory of loved ones, with designs later featured in a community voting event and runway showcase modeled by local first responders.

That unforgettable evening will take place on:
💙Saturday, August 8 at 7:00 PM
💙Homes2 Suites, Paris, Texas

Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop is proud to partner with Uplift for Life to help support first responders, their families, and members of our community facing serious medical hardships. Together, we hope to help bridge the gap for off-duty illnesses, injuries, and family hardships that often go unseen.

Be the light. Share hope. Make an impact. In this family, no one fights alone.

If you are a first responder and would like to be a model for the event, please message us.
