A Week Later... Thank You.

Over the past week, we've taken some time to rest, reflect, and appreciate everything that made Kalayaan Day 2026 so special.

Events like these take months of planning, countless volunteer hours, and the support of many people working together behind the scenes. Seeing our Filipino-American community come together to celebrate our heritage, strengthen friendships, and create lasting memories made every effort worthwhile.

To everyone who attended, participated in the games, performed, supported our raffle, volunteered their time, donated, sponsored, partnered with us, or simply came to celebrate with us—thank you. Your trust, generosity, and support helped make Kalayaan Day 2026 a truly meaningful celebration.

Congratulations to all of our participants and winners for bringing such great energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A special thank you to our team captains and everyone who stepped up to build and organize their teams. Your leadership, enthusiasm, and willingness to bring people together made our team competitions possible and added so much excitement to this year's celebration.

For us, Kalayaan Day is more than just a celebration of Philippine Independence. It is an opportunity to honor our heritage, strengthen our community, and celebrate the spirit of bayanihan that continues to unite us.

Today, we celebrate more than one meaningful occasion.

As we join our friends and neighbors across the United States in celebrating Independence Day, we also recognize Philippine-American Friendship Day—a day that commemorates the enduring friendship and shared history between the Philippines and the United States.

For many Filipino Americans, today is a special reminder that we can proudly honor both our Filipino heritage and the country we now call home. Together, our cultures, traditions, and communities continue to strengthen the bonds of friendship across generations.

From all of us at FAAN, we wish everyone a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July.

🇵🇭 KALAYAAN DAY 2026 IS MORE THAN JUST A CELEBRATION… IT’S A COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE!

Get ready for a day filled with Filipino culture, fun competitions, teamwork, performances, and exciting prizes as we celebrate Kalayaan Day 2026 together in Reno, Nevada!

This year, we’re encouraging everyone to form teams and represent their barkada, pamilya, organization, church, business, or community group as we bring back the spirit of Bayanihan through friendly competition and cultural pride.

EVENT CATEGORIES INCLUDE:
• Sungka Tournament
• Sack Race
• Message Relay
• Folk Dance Competition
• OPM Karaoke Solo

Teams may consist of 6–10 members, with representatives participating in different categories throughout the event.

Winners in each category will receive prizes, and one team will be crowned the:
KALAYAAN DAY 2026 OVERALL GROUP CHAMPION!
