The Nicholas & Dorothy Cummings Foundation is proud to announce that Dr. Jeffrey T. Reiter and Dr. Patricia J. Robinson have been selected as the 2026 recipients of the PSYCHE Award.

The PSYCHE Award recognizes individuals whose leadership, innovation, and lasting contributions have transformed behavioral health and advanced its integration into healthcare systems.

After reviewing nominations from across the behavioral health field, the PSYCHE Award Selection Committee unanimously selected Dr. Reiter and Dr. Robinson for their pioneering work in developing and advancing the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model. Their collaborative efforts have fundamentally changed how behavioral health services are integrated into primary care, improving access to patient-centered care for countless individuals across the United States and around the world.

Among their many accomplishments, they co-authored Behavioral Consultation and Primary Care: A Guide to Integrating Services, a foundational resource in the field of integrated behavioral healthcare.

The Foundation is honored to recognize their shared legacy by presenting the 2026 PSYCHE Award jointly to both recipients.

The Nicholas & Dorothy Cummings Foundation was honored to attend the ribbon cutting celebrating TEC2, The Empowerment Center's beautiful new recovery residence!

It was inspiring to see the vision become a reality and to witness the incredible dedication of The Empowerment Center's staff, supporters, and community partners who made this project possible. TEC2 will expand access to safe, supportive housing for women on their recovery journey while creating new opportunities to serve even more individuals in our community.

We are proud to have supported this project through a grant that helped furnish the residence, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment where healing and hope can flourish.

Communities In Schools helps students overcome barriers to success by providing academic, behavioral health, and wellness support services that positively impact youth and families throughout our region.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, The Nicholas & Dorothy Cummings Foundation was honored to tour The Empowerment Center’s new TEC2 facility today.

This incredible expansion will allow The Empowerment Center to continue supporting women through their recovery journey while growing services to reach even more individuals in our community. With the opening of TEC2, their South Virginia location will also expand services to support men as well.

We are proud to partner with organizations like The Empowerment Center that are creating safe, supportive spaces and making a meaningful impact in behavioral and mental health throughout our community.

We had a fantastic time attending the Aces game with Nevada Donor Network! It was a wonderful evening filled with great company, meaningful connections, and plenty of team spirit.
