OutHistory proudly presents "LGBTQ America: A Theme Study of Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Q***r History," edited by Megan E. Springate, 2016. This exhibit features LGBTQ America, a theme study that the National Park Foundation and National Park Service (NPS) published in 2016; the NPS deleted the report from its website in 2025. The exhibit also includes The Pride Guide, an associated workbook published by the NPS in 2019.

The first academic work based on Reno in an edited volume has just been released in paperback. Communities and Place: A Thematic Approach to the Histories of LGBTQ Communities in the United States.

Almost fifty years ago the Silver Dollar Court held its first coronation. I recently found this unique copy of the Knights of Malta magazine featuring quite a bit about the court. Amazing part of Reno's LGBTQ+ history as this sets the stage for the first Reno Gay Rodeo later that year.

I just stumbled upon this 2002 Pride Parade video. It says produced by Rich Smiler. If anyone has any information about this it would be greatly appreciated. Such an amazing piece of history!
