🎉 We are counting down the days until FAM Fest! 🎬🍿

Family Respite Care of Nevada is excited to partner with Washoe County Human Services for the third annual FAM Fest, raising awareness and critical funds to support foster families throughout our community. 💙

There are more than six times as many children in the Washoe County foster care system as there are homes available to care for them. More than 600 local children need safe, stable, and committed adults to foster, adopt, or mentor them. 🏡❤️

Join us Saturday, August 29, at Sparks Marina for a free evening of family fun! Carnival games, food trucks, and special appearances from Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Bluey begin at 5 p.m., followed by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at 7 p.m. 🎪🍿🎥

Even if fostering or adopting is not possible for you right now, you can still make a meaningful difference by attending, sharing the event, supporting the raffle, or helping spread the word. Every raffle ticket purchased directly supports Washoe County FAM’s foster program. 🎟️

FRC’s Board of Directors is dedicated to advancing our mission and raising critical funds for our organization!

This month, board members supported FRC by hosting a table and fundraising at the Construction Materials Engineers, Inc. Golf Tournament at Red Hawk, as well as selling lemonade during the Hidden Valley Community Yard Sale.

A huge thank-you to all our families and community members who joined us for Family Funday Sunday at the Reno Aces yesterday! ⚾🌭 We had a fantastic day filled with baseball, hot dogs, and community.

Our first volunteer outreach event at Alpine Academy High School was a huge success! 🎉

We loved tabling and sharing FRC’s volunteer opportunities with so many passionate students. Giving youth exposure to working with children with special needs and those in the foster care system is how we build a stronger community. It was incredible to meet so many students eager to make a real difference! ✨
