Dear Families,
In response to the Hawk Fire and its impact on our community, the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows will be opening four of our Clubhouses to help accommodate WCSD families who may need a safe and supportive place for their children during this time.
The following Clubhouses will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.:
• Pennington Clubhouse
• Donald W. Reynolds (DWR) Clubhouse
• Neil Road Clubhouse
• Carano Youth Center
Our goal is to support our families and community however we can during this challenging situation. We will provide a safe environment for youth while helping families navigate disruptions caused by the fire.

This summer, our members explored what it means to be confident, curious and connected through our first-ever Mindful Explorers specialty camp.

Across two one-week camps, campers practiced self-care, challenged themselves on a high ropes course, explored the outdoors, built new friendships and gave back to local fire departments.

Most importantly, we watched kids step outside their comfort zones, support one another and grow in confidence. These are the moments that make summer at the Club so meaningful.

What a day on the course! Thank you to everyone who helped make our 2026 Boys & Girls Clubs of Truckee Meadows Golf Tournament such a success.

To Our Friends & Families Affected by the Stallion and Bug Fires

Our hearts are with the families and communities across our region who have been affected by the Stallion and Bug Fires. We know this is an incredibly difficult and uncertain time, and we want local families to know that the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is here to help.

Our Fernley Clubhouse and William N. Pennington Youth & Teen Facility in Reno are open and available to provide youth ages 6 to 18 with a safe, welcoming place while families navigate this difficult situation.

If you are looking for a safe place for your kids, please call or stop by our clubhouses

As part of our commitment to our community, we are waiving membership fees and weekly fees for youth who have been affected by the fires.
