Hi Sagebrush Alumni Family!

The Board is excited to share that we are hosting monthly alumni mixers again (lovingly named Deadwine) and have enjoyed rotating around areas in Reno-Sparks for a weeknight meet up.

For future meet-ups and other events, we'll make sure to share the event in two places: our email newsletter and here on Facebook. Not on our email list? We're hosting a special Homecoming Alumni Mixer in 2 weeks! We'll head to Archie's for a nostalgic meetup at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21. Look out for an invite and help us spread the word!

Join the Sagebrushers and get the band back together at the Village Well in the Village at Rancharrah, Thursday, June 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Village Well has pay-as-you-go tap handles, kind of like a yogurt shop. No agendas or meetings, just reconvening after two years of silence.

The Chapter is calling for nominations for The Jake!

We're looking for an active journalist who best exemplifies the values professor Jake Highton instilled: dedication to the First Amendment, accuracy, clear writing, fearless reporting, and adherence to AP style.

We had an incredible evening celebrating The Nevada Sagebrush's history and honoring Larry Ryckman and Martha Bellisle at the Eighth Annual Nevada Sagebrush Alumni Dinner.

Almost 70 current Sagebrushers, former Sagebrushers and those who love them came together for this annual fundraiser. Every attendee helped make this event a success on many levels.

Through raffle ticket sales, attendees raised money for the current Sagebrush staff to use for new photo equipment. The Nevada Sagebrush Alumni Chapter will match every dollar raised to continue to support student journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Thanks to Pinocchio's Bar and Grill for the delicious food and amazing venue, and thank you to all of our raffle donors! Much gratitude as well to our dedicated board and volunteers who made this event possible.
