Got a chance to visit four of Community Health Alliance's clinics this past week - Neil Rd, Sparks, Sun Valley, and Wells - and hang up some banners. Excited to be distributing farmers' market vouchers through their medical providers again!

Thank you to all our supporters as we prepare for our 7th year of operation! We couldn't have done it without all of you. On the horizon for this year:
- We'll be partnering with Community Health Alliance's Healthy Weight Program, to provide fresh produce for children aged 5-17.
- We're working with Nevada Grown to provide a warm welcome to first-time farmers' market shoppers at 39 North Marketplace.
- Last but not least, we are hoping to provide canvas bags to 500 families so they can carry their vegetables home more easily. Please let us know if you (or a business you know) may be interested in donating. Thank you!

Fruit and vegetable prices are expected to increase dramatically during the summer - so families are going to need extra help buying their groceries. The most dramatic price increase is expected to be lettuce - which is supposed to go up as much as 62 cents per head!

Farm Fresh for Kids has now distributed their first 2014 vouchers to the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program, and they can be redeemed at the Great Basin Food Co-Op.

Farm Fresh for Kids is also proud to have developed a new survey collection system - families can text their responses or leave a voicemail.
