Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage shown on September 11, 2001.

May we honor their memory with compassion, unity, and service to others.

How does Soroptimist International of Sierra Reno turn mission into action? Through the work of committees that each play a different role in moving our club forward.

From expanding access to education and supporting girls as they explore their futures, to building strong membership, funding our programs, guiding club operations, and sharing our story with the community, every committee helps create opportunities for women and girls.

Together, that work supports Soroptimist’s mission of providing women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

💙 It’s not just what we do—it’s how we show up.

As Soroptimists, we’re proud of the work we do to empower women and girls—but just as important are the values we bring to that work.

Respect. Integrity. Inclusion. Kindness. Accountability. 💙

The Soroptimist International of the Americas Code of Conduct is a reflection of those values and the standard we hold ourselves to as members, leaders, volunteers, and community partners.

Here at Soroptimist International of Sierra Reno, we believe making a difference starts with creating a culture where people feel welcomed, respected, valued, and inspired to serve alongside one another. ✨

That’s the kind of organization we want to be—and the kind of community we’re proud to help build.

And to our fellow Soroptimists: if you haven’t signed the SIA Code of Conduct yet, here’s your friendly reminder! 😉✅

🍂💙 Soroptimist International of Sierra Reno is headed to Quincy! 💛🍁

This October, Soroptimists from across District 5 of the Sierra Nevada Region will come together in Quincy for our Fall District Meeting — and the Soroptimist International of Sierra Reno crew is excited to be part of it! 🙌

📍 Quincy, CA
📅 Saturday, October 10
⏰ 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

District Meetings give us the opportunity to connect with members from neighboring clubs, share ideas, build friendships, grow as leaders, and learn from the incredible work happening throughout our Soroptimist community. 💙💛

One of the best parts of Soroptimist is knowing that while we’re doing important work right here in Reno, we’re part of a much bigger network of women working together to improve the lives of women and girls. ✨

We’re looking forward to learning, laughing, connecting…and maybe a little Soroptimist International of Sierra Reno road-trip fun along the way. 🚗😉

Quincy, here we come! 🍂

🍂 Fall District Meetings are almost here! 🍁

💙 Our hearts are with our community. 💙

As the Hawk Fire continues to impact our area, Soroptimist International of Sierra Reno is thinking of our neighbors, families, first responders, and everyone working to keep our community safe.

To those who have been evacuated, displaced, or are facing uncertainty: we see you, we’re thinking of you, and we stand with you.

We are incredibly grateful for the firefighters, first responders, emergency personnel, volunteers, and community partners working tirelessly to protect our region. ❤️

Please stay safe, follow official emergency guidance, check on your neighbors, and take care of one another.

Northern Nevada is our home — and when our community needs us, we show up. 💙
