Gratitude, Challenges and Changes

To our riders, sponsors, volunteers and supporters, the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, NV, USA would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for nine years of community involvement producing the Edible Pedal 100®. From the beginning we’ve been in awe at the generosity of our fellow Northern Nevadans. This event has brought together civic groups, academic organizations, private companies and individual volunteers committed to showcasing the beauty and altruism that is Nevada! Together we have encouraged healthy lifestyle choices and put more than $300,000.00 back into the community.

The Edible Pedal 100® has always taken place in September to celebrate the change of seasons. Summer moves to fall. The leaves change in a beautiful show of color to signal the end of a season and the start of new winter. As with seasons, Northern Nevada has and is going through changes. As with all changes, we have new opportunities, but there are also challenges. Because of these challenges, we have decided to take a break in 2020. Unfortunately, there will not be a 2020 Edible Pedal 100® event. Time is needed to assess the road ahead.

Thank you, Adventure Sports Journal!

We had such a great ride this year; thank you for the article!

We get to to so many local non-profits and groups who supported us there year; as well as our local community throughout the year through our organization, Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, NV, USA.

The 9th annual Edible Pedal 100 was held with nearly 800 riders on September 15. The setting was a beautiful day starting and ending at historical Bower’s Mansion, located in Washoe Valley in northern Nevada.

Today is ! Today commemorates the birth of Jonas Salk, creator of the polio vaccine.

We are so close to ending this terrible disease - just two more countries!

Please help us continue our mission to eradicate Polio.

We have so many people and organizations to thank for a wonderful Edible Pedal 100 yesterday!

Thank you to our riders for joining us and the MANY organizations that make the day possible. This is a community event, and Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, NV, USA gives back 100% of the proceeds to our local community and beyond. Thanks to all of you for making this 9th year possible.
