The Quilt Group has to date donated 107 quilts to Real Choices, Reno and Fernley, Children's Cabinet for Foster Children, Foster Children of one of our members, Homeless Veterans Alliance, ALS, and Rumsted AFB in Germany. Quite a record!!

The quilters will meet September 19th, and have a Christmas Potluck December 12.

The quilt Group is one part of SYNC’s Nifty Needles! This group also sews dresses for ‘Dress a Girl Around the World,’ ties fleece blankets to be available in police cars if children are removed from a home during a domestic violence dispute, makes sleeping bags for children living in poverty who sleep on cold floors, and sews fun, individual pillowcases loving on hundreds of children in foster care.

The InterVarsity Team of student leaders led by Chris Sapinoso has been busy throughout the month of August preparing for students’ return to UNR for the fall term. Our SYNC ladies have been busy too, making meals for team meetings. This is how we help! We come alongside doing what we can to make it easier for the leaders to do what they do best - reach out to students inviting them into community on campus where they are valued. Prayer, worship and planning all go into preparing the team to interact with students through the love of Jesus Christ.

WOW! A terrific THANK YOU goes to Jen Masterson on our TECH TEAM for not only designing a beautiful logo for us, she designed our new business cards and flyers 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This week she spent literally HOURS helping me put together a PowerPoint for me to use Tuesday evening speaking for the Christian businesswomen’s networking group, Tapestry. This morning I received a text from Jacque Bachelor, Chairwoman of Sierra Christian Women to ask if I could fill in…... The speaker for their luncheon Tuesday cancelled. Rather than put together a new talk real quick, I’ll uspeak from the new PowerPoint … so 🤣😂🤣 TWICE in one day! THANK YOU, Jen!!! I could not have made it without you 💝💓💞

Long before God reunited Pam Butters and Pam Korgan, giving the vision for SYNC, these are the friends who prayed for a community of Jesus-following women to form in Reno. As Carol Stasiewicz, Micki Paher, Patty Patricia Ann Bender, and Pam Korgan prayed separately and then together, God planted the seed in each heart which would later grow to SYNCreno.org. The first attempt at bringing believing women together formed the 'Telling Your Story Conference' held in south Reno April 26, 2014. The premise was all individuals are given a unique set of gifts and talents. The conference was devoted to developing these gifts and talents to share the joy we have found in Jesus. As the 2014 team gathered the following year, we felt God distinctly telling us to stop. In the meantime, He reunited the Pams, friends of nearly 40 years who had lost track of each other (🤣 no Facebook in those days 🤣). As our team continued to meet, praying for direction, God gave the Pams a vision far greater than telling our story. The team got on board and God brought more women. What grew from there is SYNC as we know it today- a 501.3c, a community of believing women with hearts to serve, sharing the love of Jesus throughout Reno!
