Arts for All Nevada is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Reno, seeking to integrate the exploration of arts and culture into the lives of all, starting with our own community. We offer a variety of quality fine art classes to the public, implement art programs in the school systems, and steward the historic Lake Mansion responsibly as a community center for exploration of arts and culture. W

hile our emphasis is on those who have a disability, are disadvantaged, at-risk, or underserved by the arts, we recognize that every individual in our community has a role to play in the arts. People of all ages, skill levels, backgrounds, and experience can find their place at Arts for All Nevada, as our classes and programs focus on a variety of different art movements and media including visual art, creative movement, drama, and literary expression. We envision a world unified by the arts, where communities engage, create, and grow together.

Weekly Wonders at Makers Paradise Update!

Makers Paradise at the Reno Public Market will be closed on Friday, August 28. For this, we will not be having our Weekly Wonders art class that day.

We look forward to seeing you at the next class!

We have FREE Weekly Wonders in these locations:

1. Lake Mansion - Mondays, 3:00-4:30pm, inside the classroom
2. Gardnerville - Wednesdays, 3:00-4:30pm at the Douglas County Senior & Community Center (Expand-Able Horizons)
3. Sparks - Thursdays, 3:00-4:30pm at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center
4. Reno Public Market - Fridays, 3:00-4:30pm at Makers Paradise

Art supplies are provided, and Aides/Caregivers are welcome to attend the workshops, as needed.

We would like to thank the City of Reno Government Access Advisory Committee and the City of Sparks, Nevada Government Parks & Recreation Department for their generous assistance in making the Weekly Wonders program possible.

Our Weekly Wonders artists have been busy making popsicles this hot Summer!

Guided by our teaching artist, Sophie Ralston, everyone's playing with colors, and lots of it, to paint the most delicious-looking cold treat.

These ones are from our artists at Makers Paradise at the Reno Public Market.

Weekly Wonders Update: Please be advised that we have no Weekly Wonders art class today.

We know several of our students and families travel from the Sparks area, and with the current situation concerning the Hawk fire, we feel this is the most responsible decision.

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the fire.

Please stay safe, and we'll share updates about next week's program as soon as we can.

We printed bandanas using the power of the sun! 😎🌞

Check out these cyanotype bandanas we created over the weekend! Guided by our teaching artist, Sofia Lombardo, families bonded together and used shells, leaves, flowers (including things they brought from home) to create one-of-a-kind bandanas.

Cyanotypes are a unique printing technique, harnessing the power of the sun to create distinct blue prints.

So much creativity!

Hello from our Art Adventurers here at the Lake Mansion! 😊

Here's a sweet glimpse of the "Letter Painting" our budding artists created this week!

Guided by teaching artist, Miss Patty Lassaline, the young creatives used oil pastels and watercolor to create art based on their initials.

Even the kitty (swipe to see) wants to join.

*** Great news too is that you can still register your kid to join. Art Adventures runs Tuesdays until September 29, where each week, your child can explore different art mediums and techniques.

All art supplies included! Students are also welcome to bring a snack to eat during class.

So many puppies! 🐶

We had so much fun making these at our Pet Collage family workshop! With guidance from our teaching artist, Natacha Sperka, kids (with their kids-at-heart family) played with colored and printed paper, and other media to create these silly cute art of their beloved furries.
