There’s no “perfect” recipe when it comes to slime... and that’s part of the fun! ♾️

As we mixed, tested, adjusted, and customized, we created opportunities to build problem-solving skills, flexibility, creativity, and sensory awareness. Every choice, from the texture added to the scent, made the activity uniquely our client’s own. 🩷

Focusing on what we can control can help us when we are presented with things out of our control! 

If the weather isn’t nice, we can still choose to have a positive attitude.
If a task is feeling difficult, we can choose to keep trying.

Building positive connections with autistic kids starts with compassion, not compliance.
Here are some Do’s & Don’ts that can make a big difference:

✅ Do follow their lead, incorporate deep interests, validate feelings, and create safe, predictable routines.
❌ Don’t force eye contact, ignore sensory needs, or insist on compliance over connection.
When we shift toward honoring all forms of communication and celebrating small wins, kids feel safe, respected, and understood. 🌟
