Our primary objective is to stimulate an interest in literature, art, science and critical thought in Northern Nevada’s young people, pursuits that seem to be overlooked in recent times. Much like the renaissance of the Middle Ages, this organization is founded on the notion that our capacity for development is unlimited. We want to encourage young people in Northern Nevada to develop in all areas
of knowledge, in physical development, in social accomplishments, in the sciences and in the arts. The easiest way to accomplish this is by presenting real-life examples for young people to examine, enjoy and explore. When the pathways are made clear, our choices of what we consider possible expand exponentially. We want to create an environment of raised expectations, an environment in which everyone feels perfectly capable of meeting those expectations, and even exceeding them. This initiative is about the development of complete individuals, individuals who are part of this community, individuals who appreciate the rich culture of Nevada, and who are able to perceive their value as a part of this community. We challenge the misconception that the arts are extracurricular. It is our fundamental belief that education is only well-rounded when academics and the arts are combined. The result is a community populated with a wide range of richer, more fulfilled individuals whose contributions benefit the entire community in profound and unexpected ways.
