High Desert Harmony Chorus (HDH), a non-profit, volunteer-run, women’s community chorus, chartered with Sweet Adelines International (SAI) in 2004 and has continued to support the mission of fostering the enjoyment of four-part a ca****la harmony, guided by Sweet Adelines’s mission statement of “elevating women singers worldwide through education, performance, and competition in barbershop harmony

and a ca****la music.” Through their passion for music, HDH provides women of all ages and abilities with a high level of vocal music education and empowers and supports members to be the best they can be. SAI’s vision is to support women that are inspiring and empowering voices to joyfully harmonize the world and, in a world where communities are so easily divided, it is refreshing to be part of a group that aims to unite through music. We empower and uplift women of all ages and abilities and spread the joy of music throughout our community.

🌟 **Calling young singers!** 🌟

High Desert Harmony is excited to share that our director, .r.fleming, will be leading the Rising Star Workshop for Pacific Shores Region 12 - Sweet Adelines on Saturday, September 19 in Sacramento!

This full-day workshop is open to young women and female-presenting singers ages 11–26 who want to experience the fun of four-part a ca****la harmony. No barbershop experience is necessary — school choir singers are especially encouraged to join!

Participants will spend the day learning and making music with Amy, Love Notes Quartet — 2014 Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions, and choreographer Sarah Hodosh. 🎶

They'll work on:
🎤 Vocal production
🎵 Four-part a ca****la harmony
🏆 Section work with a champion quartet
💃 Showmanship and performance skills
🌟 A song they'll perform at the end of the day!

📍 **DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento**
💵 **$30, including lunch and snacks**

HDH was honored to welcome Christopher Tabarez, our Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce ambassador, to our rehearsal last week! Christopher saw us in action as we prepared for our Artown sing-outs last week and our upcoming Harmony in the Park “Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood” summer show.

We’re incredibly grateful to Christopher and the Chamber for their strong support of the arts and local nonprofit organizations just like us. Thank you for your partnership!
