High Desert Harmony Chorus (HDH), a non-profit, volunteer-run, women’s community chorus, chartered with Sweet Adelines International (SAI) in 2004 and has continued to support the mission of fostering the enjoyment of four-part a ca****la harmony, guided by Sweet Adelines’s mission statement of “elevating women singers worldwide through education, performance, and competition in barbershop harmony

and a ca****la music.” Through their passion for music, HDH provides women of all ages and abilities with a high level of vocal music education and empowers and supports members to be the best they can be. SAI’s vision is to support women that are inspiring and empowering voices to joyfully harmonize the world and, in a world where communities are so easily divided, it is refreshing to be part of a group that aims to unite through music. We empower and uplift women of all ages and abilities and spread the joy of music throughout our community.

WE'RE MOVING! Beginning Monday, June 8th, we'll be rehearsing at the beautiful new AHA Connects Reno event space. 199 East Moana Lane, Reno, NV 89502. Reno is so fortunate to have this beautiful new space available for non-profits to create, collaborate, and connect.

Rehearsals are still 6:30-9:00 and we love welcoming visitors. DM with questions and for more information.

Nearly two weeks later, we’re still reminiscing about our truly unforgettable experience at the 2026 SUI Region 12 Competition. This was undeniably a huge milestone year for us, dare we say, a year of many firsts!

💙 Achieving second place in our division (AA - Midsize) for the first time

💜 Placing fourth overall, marking our first time in the top five awards (!!!) and our highest placement yet

💚 Cheering on our hometown heroes:

our champion quartet Game Time (our FIRST ever first-place quartet), fourth-place quartet Double Down (their fourth time placing in the top five), and novice quartet Compass Rose — THREE competing quartets from HDH for the first time!
On top of it all, we were honored to have the opportunity to watch many of the choruses soar on stage and inspire us yet again. What a treat it was to connect with you all and see you perform so outstandingly — right in our backyard! We love welcoming our sisters in song from across the region every year.

High Desert Harmony is competing in the SAI regional convention contest! It is being held at the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nv. Quartets are competing on Friday May 15 from 2 - 7:00 pm (we are #3, 10, and 13) Choruses compete Saturday May 16 from 1 - 5:30 ( we are #5). Tickets are available at the door for only $10.00 per day, for those with a valid Nevada driver's license. Come for a listen or stay for awhile!
