🎃 Neewollah is coming, and we need your help to make it bigger and better than ever!

Every year, families from across our community join us for an evening of costumes, candy, games and Halloween fun. But the magic happens because local businesses, church groups, organizations and individuals step up to host trunks and activity booths.

Whether you go all-out with decorations or keep it simple, you'll help create lasting memories for hundreds of local children and families. Interested in hosting a trunk or a booth? Whether you're looking for help providing Christmas gifts for children through our Angel Tree Program or assistance with a holiday meal through our Christmas Food Box Program, we're here to help. Registration begins in October. Please review the information in the graphics for registration dates, eligibility requirements and required documentation. Families that are registered successfully for the Angel Tree Program will automatically be signed up for a food box. THERE IS NO NEED TO APPLY FOR BOTH PROGRAMS. Individuals and families may also apply to receive only a Christmas food box. Christmas Food Box signups will ONLY be done in person. Questions? Call us at 775-688-4555.

There are some events that leave you feeling grateful simply to have been present. This weekend, The Salvation Army was honored to join veterans, military families, community leaders and supporters at the Nevada Football Salute to Service Veterans Tailgate before the UNR vs. Air Force game. As stories were shared and sacrifices were remembered, the afternoon served as a potent reminder of the commitment and courage shown by generations of service members and the families who have stood beside them. We were especially moved by the moments dedicated to honoring a Gold Star Family and remembering those who never returned home. It was a privilege simply to listen, reflect and stand alongside a community committed to honoring their legacy. Thank you to the organizers, veterans and families who allowed us to be part of such a meaningful gathering. We are proud to support those who have given so much in service to others.

We had a great time with 63 senior friends today at our Aloha event. Good food and so much fun!
