Is it because she's 10 years old?
Is it because she lost her eye?
Maz K9ta is simply waiting for the right person to notice her.
Maz's story almost ended before it truly began. This adorable 14-pound poodle mix was rescued from the euthanasia list and given a second chance. Soon after entering rescue, she underwent surgery to remove one of her eyes. She recovered beautifully, and today she doesn't let having one eye slow her down one bit.
In fact, she's full of life!
She loves zoomies around the yard, long walks, and would happily join you on your next hiking adventure. At home, she's the ultimate Velcro dog, happiest when she's by your side, whether you're relaxing on the couch or tackling your daily routine.
Maz is also honest about who she is.
She'll need a family willing to continue the positive reinforcement training she's already started. She can be reactive to other dogs in public, has some resource guarding around food and high-value items, and would do best as the only dog—or with a calm, easygoing companion who respects her space. A home without cats or young children will help set her up for success.
Here's the thing...
The right home won't see these as reasons to pass her by. They'll see a resilient little dog who survived so much, has worked incredibly hard, and is just waiting for someone willing to believe in her.
After 74 days in rescue, we're hoping that person is reading this today.
