On Dec 29th, 2019, FAAN celebrated their post Christmas & Pre-New Years Get-Together to mark the successes of the old year and to welcome the New Year with the Hopes of engaging it's members and the community they serve to participate and enjoin in the various projects and activities to help achieve the goals of FAAN...and that is to serve the community they love and to promote even more the Filipino-American Culture & Heritage for which they strive to inculcate future generations of Fil-Ams and to better the experience FIl-Ams in our Area, as they participate in shaping the future of the Filipinos as we engage ourselves to be a part of our diversed community and those we touch by our humanitarian, cultural and social responsibilities. Last Saturday, April 6th, 2019 we held the Filipino-American Alliance of Nevada's Inaugural & Installation of New Set of Officers to continue the more than 30 Years of tradition of FAAN's mission and goals, as a Socio-Civic Organization...In the Service of Our Community. As outgoing President, I could not contain the joy it brings to my heart, that after being a mere volunteer in the early 80's, to being an active member, then becoming a 2 terms Vice Pesident and then 3 term President of this awesome organization, I can breath a sigh of relief, that finally my vision of continuing the wonderful works of our organization lies on the beautiful hands of our Newly Elected Officers. I have high hopes and expectations of them because I know they are as qualified, enthusiastic and as eager as to serve the Community we Love! On behalf of my Former Co-Officers, I'd like to Congratulate the New FAAN Officers and wish you the Best! As you pursue your mandate, may you look for guidance of your predecesors, and take advantage of the wisdom they have, so you may not commit the same hardships and mistakes, for the tasks ahead may seem easy, well, it's not, but difficult, nevertheless, with the wisdom of the old timers at your disposal and your fresh pool of talents that you have, together we will be victorious in all our undertakings! Just remember it is not us versus the new, but rather we are one family, with the same goals and mission, and that is to continue to propagate our Filipino Cultural Tradition melding with our American Ideals to extend a common good to our members that would extend to our community. Let Us Be One, United Group in the pursuit of what is True, Good and Beautiful.
CONGRATULATIONS once again and more power for a Brighter, More Relevant more Encompassing FAAN! In God We Trust, And Relentlessly We Will Thrive and Succeed! MABUHAY FAAN! And see you all in our next event: The Consulate On Wheels Outreach Program to be held on: April 27th & 28th at the St. ALBERT THE GREAT PARISH GYMNASIUM.
