Thank you, Washoe County, for partnering with us! This policy enables organizations like ours to keep training Service Dogs for Veterans and provide them with practical experience in communities and workplaces.

A new Washoe County workplace policy is opening the door for service dogs in training on the job. A closer look at how it works and what it means for employees and Veterans inside the story. Click the link in the comments.

Still tearing up over this exciting milestone. 🐾💙

Our very first class of Liberty Dogs™ puppies has matriculated and officially started Advanced Training! From tiny pups taking their first steps on campus to confident dogs ready for the next chapter, it’s been incredible watching them grow.

These puppies spent months learning, exploring, and building the foundation with their puppy raisers for their future careers as Service Dogs to U.S. Veterans. While it’s hard to say goodbye, we couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come. The journey continues! ✨🐶

Big news! 🐾 Last week marked a massive milestone for Liberty Dogs™: our very first matriculation and puppy turn-in ceremony.

Class 001 is officially back on campus to begin Advanced Training, the next big step in their journey to becoming Liberty Service Dogs™. We couldn’t be prouder of these pups, but our hearts are also full of gratitude for the incredible community members who raised and trained them.

Our mission is only possible because of you. ❤️

™ puppy Cooper had a special mission 🐾🇺🇸

He visited the Nevada Air National Guard's 152nd Airlift Wing to see Airmen off as they deployed.

From extra pets to a few calming cuddles, Cooper was there to offer comfort and support during an emotional sendoff. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside those who serve, and we wish these Airmen a safe journey ahead. 💙

🚗🐾 A special outing for our ™ volunteers!

Our puppy raisers recently visited the National Automobile Museum
for a fun and meaningful training experience. While raisers explored an incredible collection of classic cars, our pups were hard at work practicing their public access skills, building confidence, and navigating new sights, sounds, and surfaces.

Outings like these are an important part of their journey as future Service Dogs 💙

For some of our puppy raisers, this marked their final outing with their pup before they move on to the next chapter of their Service Dog training journey. It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we’re so proud of everything these teams have accomplished together!

Our Shelter team met with KTVN 2 News to talk about our new Shelter Foster Program. The more dogs the community fosters, the more we can rescue from high-euthanasia shelters. They’ll get a second chance, training to be a Service Dog for a U.S. Veteran with PTSD.

Our Director of Shelter Programs, Maggie Sauer, sat down with KOLO 8 News Now's KOLO Rebecca Kitchen to introduce our Shelter Foster Program. Liberty Dogs™ is partnering with shelters in high-euthanasia regions of CA to give shelter dogs a second chance as Service Dogs. Fostering means providing a loving home for a shelter pup as they train to become a Service Dog supporting a Veteran with PTSD. The more fosters we have, the more shelter dogs we can rescue. We cover all supplies and costs, provide support, and have flexible foster opportunities. Save a life today!
