This past Sunday, May 31, Nevada Humanities and the West Charleston Library hosted a screening of "Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement" as part of AANHPI Heritage Month.

Presented in partnership with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and UNLV Asian and Asian American Studies, the documentary explores the life and work of activist Nobuko Miyamoto through interviews and rare archival footage. Throughout the film, Miyamoto reflects on the ways art, movement, and activism can bring people together. At one point in the film, Miyamoto said, "How can I express my love for people? Dance with them."

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special event.
