I am just blown away by the amount of support we have received to help fill our holiday gift requests for kids in need.
We have been asked to help with a desperate need to get gift cards for teenagers in need. We are hoping to get 28 Amazon gift cards for our teenagers. I have added them to our Amazon gift registry. Please consider purchasing a gift card today to help out our teens. Be a giver. Spread the word. Thank you ❤️

We have received several messages about the status of our Christmas Village & Toy Drive this year. It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will not be hosting our annual Christmas Village & Toy Drive this year. This follows in accordance with Governor Sisolak’s mandate and CDC Guidelines to ensure the safety of our community and its members. Below we have listed some of the many organizations, non-profits, and projects in Northern Nevada that could still use our help, now more than ever. Our hearts go out to all the children, families, and organizations that have been impacted by this pandemic. Although we are not singing Christmas songs, drinking hot cocoa, making crafts, and taking pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Clause together, we hope that you can continue our mission of spreading kindness and cheer in our community. If there is a non-profit you would like mentioned, please list them down below in the comments. Thank you for your continuous support and understanding. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and that you stay safe, hopeful, and kind.

This is a story of how Christmas Village came to be.
*Ahem* Inside a snowflake, like the one on your sleeve. There happened a story, you must see to believe. Waaay up in the mountains, in the high range of Pontuse, lay the small town of Whoville. The home of the Whos. Every window was flocked, every lamp post was dressed and the Whoville Band marched in their Christmasy best. Yes, every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but the Grinch who lived just north of Whoville...did NOT!
WAIT A MINUTE! Sorry folks, wrong story! *smacks forehead* Let’s try this again...
For those who may be new to our event, or might not know yet, Christmas Village is a collaboration between Merry War Theatre Group and Nothing Bundt Cakes. You see, every year around Thanksgiving Merry War puts on this HUGE event called Harvest of Hope. They bring the community together to give out Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless and those in need. They make Kindness Kits filled with all sorts of things like, toothbrushes, sock, combs and warm jackets. This year they plan to feed & clothe 1,500 PEOPLE! That’s a lot of potatoes to mash!
It was after Thanksgiving of last year, the Merry Warriors where filled with SO much joy and their hearts where SO full that they NEEDED to keep the giving going...and thus the Christmas Village was born. “So what should we do?” One said. “Well, we’ll do what we’re good at of course! We’ll put on show!!” Said another. “We won’t charge any admission, but we’ll ask people to bring toys!” Said yet another. “Then we’ll take them to the women’s & children’s shelters and the children’s hospitals for Christmas morning” Said the first. It was perfect they decided. Then they called up their friend the Bundt Cake Lady. They asked if she would come and be apart of this thing they were creating. She said “YES of course! I’ll bring cake and gifts and other people too! We’ll make it a real big party!”
And so the Christmas Village came to life on a beautiful sunny winter Saturday. There were trees decorated up, and arches made of presents. Santa and Mrs. Clause met all the kids that came. The Merry Warriors put on quite a show, and lots of Christmas Bundt cake was had by all.
And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
