It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to step down from my role as Executive Director, for the Bed Bug Relief Foundation. While this has been an incredible opportunity, the harsh reality is that funding isn’t as readily accessible as we’d hoped.

With that said the Bed Bug Relief Foundation will remain committed to serving the community and is actively seeking donors and volunteers to ensure its continued success.

I want to say thank you to each one of you for not only believing in Chris and Jodi‘s vision, but also believing in and assisting me in moving that mission forward.

𝐁𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐠 𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐬, 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐫𝐞:
🔴tiny, the size of a pinhead;
🔴pearl-white in color; and
🔴marked by an eye spot if more than five days old.

𝐀𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐠𝐬, 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐫𝐞:
🔴about the size of an apple seed (5-7 mm or 3/16 – 1/4 inch long);
🔴long and brown, with a flat, oval-shaped body (if not fed recently);
🔴balloon-like, reddish-brown, and more elongated (if fed recently);
🔴a “true bug” (characteristics of true bugs include a beak with three segments; 🔴antenna that have four parts; wings that are not used for flying; and short, golden-colored hairs); and
🔴smelly, with a “musty-sweetish” odor produced through glands on the lower side of the body

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐠𝐬 (𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐬), 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐫𝐞:
🔴smaller, translucent or whitish-yellow in color; and
🔴if not recently fed, can be nearly invisible to the naked eye because of coloring and size.

John began his career in insurance in 2006, where he worked in Minnesota until making the move to Reno, Nevada in 2009. He specializes in supplemental insurance and life insurance, and employs the use of modern technology to ensure accuracy and efficient customer service. His commitment to providing clients with tailor-made plans has made him one of the top producers in his field. Outside of his work, John loves to engage with clients by coaching kids' sports teams, attending concerts, and trying new restaurants.
