We are SO excited to officially invite you to our first SNCNN-hosted Sensory Friendly Swim Session in partnership with the City of Reno Parks & Recreation! 🏊‍♀️🩷

Come splash, swim, play, and enjoy the pool in a sensory-friendly, welcoming environment created with our special needs community in mind. And the fun doesn’t have to end when we get out of the water! Stick around afterward for our Community Meetup with snacks, beverages, and a chance for families to hang out and connect. 🫶

🗓 Friday, October 9th
🏊 Swim: 4:00–6:00 PM
🤝 Community Meetup: 6:00–6:45 PM
📍 Evelyn Mount Community Center
💲 $2 per child | $4 per adult

This is something we have been working toward for a while, and we are so excited to finally make it happen! 💕 Grab the kids, bring your swimsuits, and come spend the afternoon with your SNCNN community!

🏒🐉 SNCNN NIGHT WITH THE TAHOE KNIGHT MONSTERS! 🐉🏒

We are SO excited to invite our Special Needs commUNITY to a night of hockey, fun, and community with the Tahoe Knight Monsters! 💙✨

Join us Friday, November 20th at 7:00 PM at the Tahoe Blue Event Center for a special night out with SNCNN!

25% of ticket sales purchased through our special link will be donated back to Special Needs commUNITY of Northern Nevada! 🎉

💙 A private sensory-friendly/quiet room will also be available during the event for anyone who needs a break from the noise, crowds, or excitement. We LOVE being able to offer families a space where everyone can enjoy the night in the way that works best for them.

What an amazing experience we had attending Tiny Toes Foundation Gala! Such an amazing non profit organization supporting children and families through their medical journeys, a truly amazing non profit and wonderful team making so much happen for families during their hardest moments. Happy Fall CommUNITY!

We have some super exciting events planned for October!

Our very first SNCNN hosted sensory swim event will be Friday 10/9 4:30-6:30pm at Evelyn Mount Community Center. Come down, swim with us, and afterwards we will mingle for snacks and drinks. This will be a great new monthly opportunity to meet other families, board members, and take advantage of this awesome new sensory-friendly event. So much thanks to the team at City of Reno Parks and Recreation for working with us to make this happen!

We will be hosting a very special TYA event this month at the Dragon Lights Festival. There will be a lot more information about this coming shortly, so stay tuned!

Last, but definitely not least, October means it is time for SNCNN's annual Trunk Or Treat and Halloween Dance at Roller Kingdom. 10/29 from 4:30-6:30 pm. This is one of our biggest events of the year and we are so excited to see all of our commUNITY members! Food, Games, Music and of course costumes and decorated trunks, from our CommUNITY, and our partners!

All of this, PLUS our regular scheduled programming, October is going to be an exciting month for SNCNN! We look forward to seeing you all!

We are so honored to be recognized by the city of Reno and Mayor Schevie!

 Join us for the official community celebration at Texas Road House September 28th from 3pm to 10pm we’ll be receiving 10% of each dinner check that shows this flyer for dining in or togo orders.  Our board members and their families will be dining and we all hope to see you there!
