Join us on Saturday at 10am at the CCC Clubhouse to explore Qigong taught by master-level Qigong instructor, Erica LaFrenier.

Studies show that Qigong practice, particularly among cancer patients and survivors, can result in improved lung function, mood, sleep, and quality of life, along with reduced stress, pain, anxiety, and fatigue. Qigong uses exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit with the goal of maintaining and improving health and wellbeing. Qigong has both psychological and physical components and involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and body's movement and posture.

In Erica's class you will learn how to embrace, embody, and discover yourself through the practice of Qigong. All levels from beginner to experienced are welcome to attend. All required equipment provided.

Anyone affected by cancer is welcome to participate in this wellness group: patients, survivors, care partners, and loved ones.

This program is offered free of charge to our CCC participants thanks to CCC's generous community donors.

Please RSVP to let us know you'll be attending at https://www.cancercommunityclubhouse.org/calendar

In recognition of Survivors Month this June, the community is invited to come together for a Vitalant blood drive hosted by Lynn Histing, held in honor of her daughter, Katie.

🗓 WHEN: Sunday, June 28 | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 WHERE: Cancer Community Clubhouse
546 Greenbrae Drive, Sparks, NV 89431

💡 DID YOU KNOW:

•Over 25% of the U.S. blood supply supports cancer patients.
•More than 1.9 million people are diagnosed with cancer each year—many of them will need blood during treatment.
•Individuals with cancer may require blood transfusions due to anemia or thrombocytopenia caused by the disease itself or from treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery.
•46% of platelet transfusion recipients have cancers affecting the blood, bone marrow, or lymph nodes, including leukemia (ALL, CLL, AML, CML), lymphoma (Hodgkin’s and Non‑Hodgkin’s), and myeloma.

❤️ Your donation can make a life‑saving difference.

✅ Eligibility Overview:

Individuals with a history of basal cell or squamous cell skin cancer, or in situ breast or cervix cancer, may donate after completing treatment.

Those with a history of lymphoma or leukemia are permanently deferred from donating blood (with some possible exceptions for certain childhood leukemia survivors).

For all other cancer types, eligibility is evaluated at the time of donation. Generally, at least 12 months must have passed since your last treatment, and you must be cancer‑free.

Join us to experience ultimate relaxation with a restorative sound bath by Wyatt on Saturday at 4PM at the CCC Clubhouse (546 Greenbrae Dr).

During a live sound bath, participants relax to the balancing vibrations of gongs and quartz crystal bowls. The benefits of participating in a sound bath for a cancer survivor may include reduced anxiety, an opportunity to process unresolved emotions, release of tension in the body, and gaining focus and clarity.
