Join us each month for our Art and Creativity group at Arts for All Nevada to bring out your creative side while exploring various art techniques aimed at increasing self-awareness, processing emotion, and decreasing stress and anxiety. Each session will feature a new art or craft project and is a great time to make connections within our cancer community. Check the calendar to see what creative project will be featured. All supplies provided.

Takes place at the Lake Mansion/Arts For All NV, located at 250 Court St, Reno.

This program is offered free of charge to our CCC participants thanks to CCC's generous community sponsors and support from Arts For All Nevada.

Join us on Wednesday at 10:00AM for a Breathwork session facilitated by Jolyn Armstrong of Grapevine Inner Wellness. Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful practice that can support cancer patients and survivors in both physical and emotional healing. By focusing on intentional breathing patterns, participants can reduce stress, ease anxiety, improve energy levels, and enhance overall well-being. Breathwork also helps regulate the nervous system, promote relaxation, and create a sense of calm and connection within the body—something especially valuable during and after cancer treatment. This class offers a safe, supportive space to reconnect with your breath and cultivate resilience, balance, and inner peace.

Join us in person or on Zoom to connect with other CCC participants to support and be supported in our shared cancer experiences. Anyone affected by cancer is welcome to participate in this support group: patients, survivors, care partners, and loved ones.

Support groups are facilitated by Dr. Katherine Souza, a PhD-level therapist who is also a cancer survivor. All participants will be asked to sign a professional Informed Consent upon their first group meeting.

Friends, we have an opportunity to help Wendy and John Firestone who have lost their home of 30 years and all of their belongings in the Hawk Fire in Reno, Nevada, on August 22. For years, they have dedicated their lives to serving others and supporting some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Wendy works with Note-Able Music Therapy Services, and John serves as Executive Director of The Life Change Center, where both have made a lasting impact on countless lives.
