Do you have some astronomy equipment you are no longer using? ASN is providing a Swap Meet section on the website where ASN members can advertise appropriate items. There are several websites that provide this information. An advantage for the ASN's “Swap Meet” exchange is that members and non-members can save on shipping costs when transactions are made locally.

** Volunteers Needed **

ASN will be providing support for a private star party at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort on August 13, 2022.

We will setup the 20” scope, but we could use several more telescopes. Having some volunteers who can speak Spanish would also be helpful.

Sugar Bowl is a very dark area at high elevation; the night sky should be amazing!

The club can provide $20 gas money for each volunteer car (please car pool if possible).

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Sparks Marina last Friday! We had a pretty fantastic turnout, and it was shaping up to be a beautiful night!

We had people learning how to set up and use the 20” scope, several members got help setting up and using their scopes (aside from some unfortunate technical difficulties), and Brian got his imaging setup just in time for the sprinklers in the next zone to come on!

Fortunately, everyone got their scopes put away before the sprinklers reached our area. We will coordinate with the new park rangers to make sure we don’t have the same experience at future events!
