Would you like to support wildlife conservation and homeschool activities by reading?

NNHS is partnering with the Katie Adamson Conservation Fund (KACF) for ReadtoSave!

In honor of Earth Day 2026, students ask friends and family to sponsor them with a donation for every book read between April 1 and April 22. Donations will be split between KACF and NNHS. All proceeds directly support endangered animal conservation through KACF and homeschool community events through NNHS.

Hey homeschoolers! Don't forget to check out the nnhs.org website for all of our upcoming events. We also have a page with local support groups, co-ops, and more!

We're all looking forward to seeing you at our Bunny Hop event on Friday, April 11th at Lazy 5 regional park starting at 12pm. This event is just $5! A local homeschool teen has started their own business, Karbonated, and will be joining us for this event! Come out and support your local homeschoolers!

We also have our Science and invention fair coming up. This event is totally free to register and attend! Registration is due by April 30th. Come show our little scientist and inventors some love and see what they have done.

Hey all! Come join us for the NNHS annual Christmas party! This event acts as a small fundraiser for our non-profit so if you can't attend you can buy a sponsor ticket or 2 to go towards families who need a little Christmas cheer. Santa will be there with the instant photo booth, cookies and cocoa, a DJ playing all the Christmas favorites, party games, and snacks!! You can register at

Come join us for the most wonderful time of year! Celebrate the season with NNHS at our annual homeschool Christmas party. We'll have a visit from Santa and friends, photo booth, cookie decorating, music, games, and more!

Don't forget tomorrow, Sunday 11/17, is the day of our NNHS maker's fair! We have 60 booths signed up and these kids have been hard at work! Please come out and support your fellow homeschoolers and shop for the holidays. Invite your friends and family and let's show these kids what community is all about! See you all tomorrow at the Reno Elks lodge 12-3pm.

Happy Friday fellow homeschoolers!! It's that time of year again where I ask you to take just a couple minutes to please nominate Northern Nevada Home Schools for the Scheels community partner award. This would help so much in supporting our amazing community of homeschoolers. We would love to be able to provide more free resources, workshops, events, and curriculum for the homeschoolers in Northern Nevada. As you know our board of directors are all volunteers and we do our very best in providing support and would appreciate your help with this so very much. Let's show them what homeschoolers can do when we come together to build up this incredible community!!

* On November 17th we have our NNHS Fall maker's fair where our local homeschoolers will have a variety of unique items all made by our young entrepreneurs. This is a perfect time to come get a little holiday shopping in and support these kids and all of their hard work.

*Siamsa- A Celtic Christmas. Come join us on Thursday December 5th for an event for the family. We were lucky to get discounted tickets for our homeschoolers to experience the magic of this show. They are only offering 1 school day for this show.

*NNHS Merry and Bright Annual Christmas Party. Sunday December 8th at the Reno Elks lodge. This is one of our favorite events of the entire year. Come celebrate the seaons magic with us. We will have a visit from Santa and his crew, photobooth, DJ playing all of the Christian favorites, cookie decorating, games and more!

Half of our vendor tables have been claimed for our 2024 Fall makers fair! This is such a fun event for our young entrepreneurs to learn through hands on experience. We are hosting this event at one of our favorite locations, the Reno Elks lodge. Don't miss out on this amazing event!

Don't want to be a vendor but still want to support our awesome homeschool community, come on out and shop all of the unique items these kids hand make. Please invite your friends and family to come shop as well. This event has no entry fee and is open to the public!

Our "Fall Into the Season" Makers Fair is now open to registration! Come support our local little entrepreneurs. We currently have 60 tables available! Register at nnhs.org under our events tab.

Also save the date for annual Christmas party! This one is always so fun and one of our favorite traditions. Santa will be bringing Mrs. Clause, an elf and their very own photo booth! We will also have games, music, cookie decorating, cocoa bar and more!

Are you guys ready for some fun in the sun?! We here at NNHS can't wait for the annual homeschool Wild Island Waterpark day!! Bring the whole family on July 22nd to cool off and make lasting memories with friends. Check our link to register and get your tickets purchased. We will have tickets available for pickup about 10 days before or the morning of the actual event. This event will sell out so make sure to get your tickets asap.
