Tribal Minds, Inc.

Tribal Minds, Inc. Native-led, Native-serving 501(c)(3) advancing community development, Indigenous wellness, and artistic liberation.

Out of the 574 federally-recognized Tribes across Turtle Island, Nevada is home to 28 unique Tribes and Colonies. Tribal Minds aims to support the sovereignty and self-determination of Indigenous Nations. In addition, due to the historical impact of assimilation tactics and disenfranchisement, we are bridging sectors of the BIPOC community that have not always organized together. Our core team has

experience in government affairs, operations, communications, field, and development. The organizational base of our work is a rotating staff of grassroots Native organizers intentionally hired from in the communities in which we serve. We refuse to lose our authenticity, our legitimacy, and our roots in the community. Our programming is purposeful in creating spaces led by Indigenous people for Indigenous people, creating Native solutions for Native issues.

While on retreat in Boston, planning this summer and fall's calendar of programs, members of our team were honored to lead prayer and song at Tufts University's Indigenous Center's End of Year Celebration.

The Indigenous Center (IC) builds a “home away from home” centering Indigeneity in the Tufts campus community.

Looking forward to programs, we will be focusing on Star Village community development in the beginning of the summer. We are currently working with our partners and funders on logistics to sustain the Rez Girls Wellness Retreat and Chief Good Day Camp in late summer. Keep an eye out for the latest updates 👀

🌎 Across Borders, Our Work Continues.

The Tribal Minds, Inc. team has been honored to support cultural revitalization work alongside our relatives at Caldwell First Nation (Potawatomi/Ojibwe) in Ontario, Canada.

When Indigenous nations invest in reclaiming language, ceremony, story, and identity, they are not simply preserving culture—they are strengthening the future of their people.

At Tribal Minds, we believe that cultural knowledge is a living system of governance, wellness, and community power. Through collaboration, dialogue, and shared vision, we are helping support initiatives that reconnect people to their traditions, their lands, and their responsibilities to the next generations.

The work happening with Caldwell First Nation is inspiring—rooted in pride, leadership, and the revitalization of Potawatomi and Ojibwe cultural lifeways. It is an honor to walk alongside communities doing this important work.

Stronger cultures create stronger nations. And we are grateful to be part of that journey.

Follow Tribal Minds to learn more about the work we are doing with Indigenous communities across Turtle Island.

✨Today, on , we honor generosity, collective care, and mutual support. Today, we celebrate a day to celebrate frontline organizations that root, protect, and support our communities!

🎤 DID YOU KNOW? Supporting Native organizations is especially important in a landscape of dramatic underfunding. Less than 1% of philanthropic dollars go to Native programming, and less than 0.5% of funding supports Native-led, Native-serving programs like ours!

That means.... we rely on you!

💖 Since our inception as an organization in 2020, we have come together to support each other. We began with the Good Relative Network, supporting adults connecting for emotional support during the height of the pandemic - now we operate the Network on top of our flagship Rez Girls Wellness Retreat and Chief Good Day Camp, which bring together Native youth from dozens of Tribes into cohorts anually for culturally-grounded wellness. We also oversee the Star Village network, revitalizing culture through ceremony across the state and beyond.

Every dollar supports these programs directly. Ever dollar benefits more Native youth and adults in underresourced Nevada Native communities: urban, rural, and remote.

🌿2025 Chief Good Day Camp: Brotherhood🌿
The Chief Good Day Camp brought these young men together to grow, learn, and support one another.

This week was all about brotherhood—stepping into challenges, lifting each other up, and building strength in mind, body, and spirit. These boys showed courage, resilience, and the power of standing together.
