This is encouraging news for anyone in our community affected by Parkinson's.

Paraquat exposure is one of the clearest known environmental risk factors for PD, and seeing federal lawmakers and now an entire state take real action shows that advocacy works.

Here in Nevada, we're taking that lesson to heart: PSCNN is already in talks with state lawmakers about introducing a bill to ban paraquat in the 2027 legislative session. If you're a Nevadan who wants your voice heard on this issue, we'd love to have you join us. 🧡

Momentum is building to ban paraquat nationwide, with a new bill in Congres and Vermont's first-in-the-nation state ban marking major recent progress.

đź’™ Looking Ahead

A few years ago, someone called PSCNN shortly after receiving a Parkinson's diagnosis.

Like many people facing a new diagnosis, they had questions, concerns, and a sense of uncertainty about what lay ahead.

What they needed wasn't just information. They needed connection. They needed support. They needed to know they weren't alone.

Over the past five years, we've heard countless versions of that story.

A newly diagnosed individual looking for answers.

A care partner searching for support.

A family wondering where to turn.

Those conversations are why PSCNN exists.

As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, we're proud of what we've built together—but we're even more excited about what comes next.

Because we know there are still people throughout Northern Nevada who need support, education, resources, and community.

That's why we're committed to building the next five years together.

Whether you've attended a support group, participated in an event, volunteered, donated, partnered with us, or simply helped spread awareness, thank you for being part of this journey.

The first five years were just the beginning. đź’™

⛳💙 What an incredible day at the 2nd Annual Parkinson's Classic! 💙⛳

Because of our sponsors, golfers, donors, volunteers, and community partners, we raised more than $35,000 to support PSCNN's programs and services throughout Northern Nevada!

More than 70 golfers joined us for great golf, friendly competition, raffle excitement, and community connection.

One of the most meaningful moments: seeing individuals living with Parkinson's participate on the course through generously sponsored golfer spots. Parkinson's affects movement—but it doesn't stop people from living, connecting, and enjoying life.

Thank you for helping ensure no one faces Parkinson's alone. Together, we are making a difference.
