In the year 2000, new legislation was written that stated all honorably discharged veterans had a right to at least two uniformed military personnel to fold and present the flag and to sound Taps for funeral honors. Since the inception of this legislation, there have never been enough buglers to sound live Taps at every military funeral. Throughout Nick's life, he has had many family members who w
ere Veterans pass away. Unfortunately, he was unaware that he could sound Taps during those funerals and instead had to watch as recordings were played. After learning that there were no restrictions on civilians, Nick has made it his personal mission to fulfill as many live bugler requests as he possibly can. Remembered with Taps was formed to fulfill bugler requests within New York State, with ambitions to grow nationally and work alongside other organizations with similar goals. As a society and a nation, we owe it to our Veterans to have a live bugler present during their funeral. Our bugler services are not limited to just funerals. We will also send a live bugler to sound Taps wherever needed.
