Showcase for Charity was founded in 2013 by Matthew Beyer as a way to raise awareness and donations for charities through musical showcases. Matt has been active in his local non-profits and the charities they support as well as the music industry for over 12 years. Showcase for Charity currently raises awareness and donations for Mooseheart, Moosehaven, Special Olympics Maryland, Safe Surfing and
Wounded Warrior Project. It creates a place for musicians to perform and not have to go through the hassle of selling hundreds of tickets also known as the pay to play scenario. I want you to be able to focus on the charity and helping those in need without having to worry about the normal venue hassles that always seem to arise. These showcases are great to play for many reasons including local publicity, gaining new fans, networking with other musicians, and most of all to raise awareness and donations for a great cause.”
Showcase for Charity hosts shows at Moose Lodge 1577 in Reisterstown, MD. There is a full stage, PA system, and some back-lining equipment that is provided for every showcase.
