1 mission: teach kids to love God more deeply!
The days are long but the weeks are short. Thankful for another great camp season laughing, singing, playing, and learning about God. It is awful quiet as we fold up the slip n’ slide, drain the pool, and pick up all the rubber bands and perler beads. I’m praying for the kids as they go back to school that they are patient and kind, joyful and loving, resilient and brave. I pray the lessons from camp carry them though the year until next year. We studied miracles this summer. One of my favorite moments was when we were studying Zacchaeus. I asked the kids who they wanted to be like in the story. One child said, “I want to be like Zacchaeus. I want Jesus to change my heart.”
We were sitting by the lake and a camper said, “I love this spot. I always see God in the water because Jesus walked on water and calmed storms.”
We said, “Holy Guacamole! Miracles! Hundreds of times as we praised Jesus for the many miracles past and present.
