Affordable housing is not just a statistic in Rockingham County… it’s a daily reality for families trying to stay stable.

The data shows the gap.
Rising rent. Limited inventory. Stagnant income.

But we made a decision.

The Flack Foundation continues to maintain housing $200–$300 BELOW fair market rate so families in Reidsville, NC have access to safe, stable living.

This is not theory.
This is not conversation.
This is commitment.

15 families housed.
And we’re building from here.

If you believe communities deserve access, stability, and sustainability… stay connected.

Advancing Affordable Housing. Strengthening Rockingham County.

In today’s housing market, affordability is no longer a convenience, it is a crisis.

According to established benchmarks from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Fair Market Rent in Rockingham County currently ranges between:
• $800–$900 for one-bedroom units
• $950–$1,100 for two-bedroom units

Yet, The Flack Foundation is intentionally operating below market pressure.

We maintain housing rates $200–$300 below Fair Market Rent, ensuring that families are not priced out of stability, safety, and dignity.

This is more than housing.
This is intentional community reinvestment.

By absorbing rising costs in maintenance, property taxes, and insurance, we are:
• Reducing housing cost burden for working families
• Expanding access to safe, stable living environments
• Creating sustainable pathways to long-term housing security

15 families are currently housed in safe, affordable dwellings
because we have made a strategic decision:

Affordability will not be sacrificed for margin.

The Flack Foundation is not simply providing housing.
We are actively investing back into Rockingham County by stabilizing families, strengthening communities, and setting a new standard for what affordable housing should look like.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR FOUNDER
FROM The Flack Foundation

Commissioner Ronald Flack

Commissioner Ronald Flack stands as more than a founder. He is the foundation behind the Foundation.

Today, on behalf of The Flack Foundation, we honor our Founder and President, Commissioner Ronald Flack, on his birthday.

Vision is common. Stewardship is rare. Commissioner Flack did not simply establish an organization. He built a vehicle for impact. His leadership has always been rooted in service, not spotlight. As a Deacon in the Lord’s Church and a faithful civil servant to the City of Reidsville, he embodies integrity in both sacred and civic spaces. His life proves that faith and public service are not competing callings. They are complementary commitments.

Under his guidance, The Flack Foundation has remained mission driven, community centered, and people focused. He leads with conviction, governs with character, and serves with consistency. The fruit of his faithfulness is visible in every initiative, every outreach effort, and every life touched through this work.

Commissioner Flack, your birthday is not just a celebration of years. It is a celebration of legacy in motion. Your leadership has created lanes for others to thrive. Your discipline has built doors for others to walk through. Your example has shown us that real influence is measured in impact, not applause.

May this milestone year bring strength for new assignments, clarity for expanded vision, and continued favor over every work of your hands.

Happy Birthday, Founder.
We honor you.
We celebrate you.
We thank God for you.

The Flack Foundation remains committed to confronting food insecurity and eliminating food deserts in our local communities.

Through our ongoing partnership with Cornerstone Christian Center in Reidsville, NC, we serve Rockingham County weekly through the iCON Universal program, ensuring consistent access to food for our most vulnerable neighbors.

This commitment represents more than intention. It reflects action.

• 240 volunteer hours annually donated to Cornerstone Christian Center
• One day each week, every other Wednesday
• 3–6 hours per service day
• Food is transported from donation centers in Greensboro to the Reidsville distribution site
• 80–100 families served every other week
• Approximately 200 families supported each month

This is logistics with purpose.
This is partnership with integrity.
This is service that meets real needs, consistently.

We believe food access is not a privilege. It is a necessity. And we will continue to show up, week after week, to ensure families have what they need to thrive.

Today, The Flack Foundation honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King reminded the world that service is the rent we pay for living, that justice requires courage, and that love must be organized to produce lasting change. His vision calls us not only to remember, but to continue the work with discipline, integrity, and purpose.

We remain committed to advancing communities, building capacity, and serving people in ways that reflect his unwavering pursuit of dignity, equity, and opportunity for all.

May his legacy continue to challenge our conscience and guide our commitment.
