Last week, we held our 3rd annual YEF Turkey Drive 🦃💚 We delivered meals to 20 families, feeding around 100 people! The Turkey Drive has become one of our favorite traditions. Thank you to our volunteers, Rockingham County Youth Services, and Eden Food Lion for helping us make this happen. We couldn’t do it without our supporters!

This month, YEF will hold its 3rd annual YEF Turkey Drive. In the past two years, we have fed over 150 of our beloved neighbors. This summer, we are kicking off our new YEF Program. Similarly to what we’ve always done, we are providing high school students with enrichment experiences that align with their passions. With this new model, students receive experiences on an earned basis (with support and resources from YEF) so that they can keep their academics in check while enjoying fun experiences! We are currently in the process of going through nominations and very excited to select our 16 students for the upcoming school year 💚📚

Zay had another incredible recording studio session with Iamu Studios in Charlotte! We love to see Zay bringing his creativity and hard work into the studio, and his mentor was definitely proud 🎤🎵 Thank you to Iamu Studios for supporting YEF and giving Zay the opportunity to record in an incredible space 💚

Last week, Brandi got to take a horseback riding lesson where the instructor taught her the basics in handling a horse, preparing the saddle, and changing the direction of the horse! 🐴✨

We are so exited to announce our new Program Director, who will be managing the YEF Accelerator program, Stephanie Ellington!

Stephanie Ellington has been a lifelong resident of Reidsville and is the Co-Chair for the Rockingham County Distinguished Young Women program. She has enjoyed working with students in various capacities over the years and is looking forward to continuing to do so through YEF. Stephanie has been married to her husband, Byron, for 23 years and they have 3 daughters.
