If you missed our original camp orientation, we will be having a make-up on June 3rd from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the Tattnall County Extension Office. Our staff will be busy for the next few weeks and does not have a lot of extra time to schedule one-on-one orientations, so please try to make it to this meeting if at all possible.

"Stopping by to sign the papers" does not fulfill the requirement of your child having completed camp orientation. We have valuable information to share with you to help your child be adequately prepared for camp! Attending orientation is required, whether at the meeting next week or in a one-on-on session. Covering the orientation information takes at least 45 minutes and we allow 15 minutes for questions and completion of the paperwork.

This summer we are excited to offer two summer clubs. We know everyone's funds are limited right now, so we are offering these FREE summer clubs in place of our traditional summer programs.

Stitches for Service

This club will meet on TUESDAYS from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Tattnall County Extension Office. Huge thanks to Mrs. Deborah Mike Wise for helping lead our first few crochet classes and for donating lots of supplies to help us get started. We will continue to focus on crochet skills throughout the summer. As the club continues into Fall, we will also add some basics, such as sewing on buttons and hemming pants. Youth do need to complete the Medical Form and Code of Conduct to join this summer club. They may do so at the Extension Office when they come to their first meeting.

Storybook Creations

This club will meet on FRIDAYS from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. beginning tomorrow (May 29th). The group will read books and create or make something that helps represent the story. Our first class will be tomorrow and is titled "Planting a Rainbow". Kids will get to plant a flower and take it home to grow.

Both clubs are open to youth in who have recently completed Kindergarten - 11th grade. We look forward to having you all join us for these clubs, and hope they provide a fun, safe entertainment option for your children this summer.

If youโ€™re looking for a fun night out this summer and a simple way to support Tattnall County 4-H, weโ€™ve got just the thing for you! Tattnall County 4-H is headed to the ballpark on June 13, 2026 at 7:00 PM to watch the Macon Bacon take on the Lexington County Blowfish at Luther Williams Field in Macon. We want you to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase tickets and come join us for a night full of fun, food, and festive entertainment. Itโ€™s even Superhero Night, so you can come dressed as your favorite hero and be part of the fun!

Tickets can be purchased online for $17 (same price for adults and youth). The ticket fee includes:

Game admission (seats in section 211)
A free Macon Bacon hat (while supplies last)
All-you-can-eat ballpark food (hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, cookies, soda, and water)
Plus, $5 from every ticket purchased goes directly back to support Tattnall County 4-H programs. Itโ€™s a win-winโ€”great food, great fun, and a great cause.

This event is not designed to be a traditional 4-H trip, but an opportunity for your family or friend group to engage in an exciting outing together. Ticket purchase does not include transportation to the game. Also, 4-H will not be providing chaperones for this event. All youth under 18 must attend with an adult who has also purchased a ticket.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Donโ€™t waitโ€”tickets must be purchased by May 22 at 5:00 PM!

Be sure to use our link to purchase your tickets so that Tattnall County 4-H will receive their portion of the ticket cost:
https://maconbacon.isportstix.com/order/group/-TatnallCounty4-H2026/

This is an easy way to support your local 4-H program while enjoying a summer evening with family and friends. We hope to see you thereโ€”bonus points if you show up in full superhero gear!

For more information about this activity, feel free to contact the Extension Office at (912) 557-6724, ext. 4 or [email protected].

Living Together Peacefully at CAMP! ๐ŸŒฒโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‰

Summer is almost here, and that means itโ€™s almost time for one of the best parts of the year โ€” 4-H Summer Camp! We are so excited to welcome our campers for an unforgettable summer full of adventure, friendships, fun activities, and lifelong memories.

Before we head off to camp, we need all campers and families to attend our Mandatory 4-H Summer Camp Orientation for all 4thโ€“12th grade camps.

๐Ÿ“… Orientation Details

Tuesday, May 26th
5:30โ€“7:30 p.m.
TCHS Cafetorium

This meeting is extremely important for both campers and parents/guardians. Campers and at least one parent/guardian should plan to attend the entire orientation. This is not a drop-in event, so please arrive on time and be prepared to stay for the full two hours.

During orientation, families will:

Learn important camp rules and expectations

Complete any remaining required paperwork

Meet other campers attending camp

Share roommate preferences with staff

Get answers to last-minute camp questions

If a camper is unable to attend orientation, they will be required to schedule a separate time to watch the full 2-hr orientation video at the Extension Office.

๐Ÿ’ต Camp Payments

We will also be accepting cash or check payments during orientation for any families who still have a remaining camp balance. This is a great opportunity to take care of any final payments before camp begins.

๐ŸŽ‰ Bonus Perk!

The first 15 students to arrive at orientation will receive a free rolling suitcase courtesy of a generous donor!

โœ… RSVP

Please RSVP by Friday, May 22nd using the QR code on the flyer or by visiting:
