Through the passage of House Bill 1592, the state legislature has established a
statewide Agriculture Alert System. The system was designed and developed by
Extension, with the help of the Texas Department of Agriculture and the Texas Animal
Health Commission. The system is designed to send out an alert to subscribers about a
potential pest, disease, etc. that is a potential threat to Texas Agriculture. Citizens can
sign up simply by going to https://agalert.tamu.edu/ and registering their name, email
address and the county or counties that they wish to receive alerts.
View current disease and pest alerts affecting Texas from the Texas Animal Health Commission, Texas Department of Agriculture, and Texas Parks and Wildlife. Subscribe to receive email notifications and stay informed. Subscribe to Alerts
