We want to recognize a young citizen of our community for his Bravery and Heroism in the face of a tragic accident that took the life of his friend and classmate, Ricky Blanchard. Upon witnessing the accident, 12 year old Liam Doucet, maintained his composure, dialed 911, and was able to provide the information to dispatchers to get help coming. He then remained on scene flagging first responders with a flashlight and answering questions from dispatch until he was relieved of duty. Thank you Allen Parish Ambulance Service, Reeves Police Department and all those that came tonight to help us give Liam the Bravery and Heroism Award. Thank you Liam for leading by example!
