On Saturday, 2/28, members of the Reedsburg Area Toastmasters Club participated in the Area Speech Contest in Richland Center. Shelby Lange competed in the Area International Speech contest. Ben Dvorak and Jerry Ward competed in the Area Humorous Speech contest. Shelby placed first in the Internaltional Speech contest and will now represent Area C4 in the Central Division contests in Wisconsin Dells on March 28th. Ben placed second and Jerry placed third in the Humorous Speech contest. Congratulations to all the contestants

The Reedsburg Area Toastmasters and the Rolling Hills Toastmasters had our annual joint picnic meeting on Thursday evening. This year it was hosted by the Reedsburg Club. Special thanks to Ben and Erin Dvorak who were our gracious hostess and allowed us to use their beautiful shed for the meeting. Since our clubs both have hybrid meetings this was an opportunity for some members to meet in person for the first time since last years picnic. Ben Dvorak served as Toasmaster of the evening. Robert Lambert and Sandy Snow were our speakers and both gave entertaining and informative presentations. Thank you to all who came and participated. Again, thanks to Ben and Erin for their hospitality.

Recently one of our Reedsburg club officers Morgan Pfaff had the opportunity to present at the Habitat for Humanity International Conference in Atlanta thanks to The Home Depot Foundation, and it was the skills and support provided by fellow club members of Toastmasters International that gave her the confidence to speak at this big event with attendees from every state and many nations!
